Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan adanya beberapa permasalahan, diantaranya mengenai rendahnya keterampilan menyimak cerita pada siswa sekolah dasar pada masa pandemi, saat pandemi adanya penurunan dalam keterampilan menyimak. Berdasarkan hal tersebut diperlukan adanya solusi atas permasalahan tersebut untuk mengetahui seberapa siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV dalam menyingkapi pemahaman keterampilan menyimaknya. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui siswa Kelas IV menyimak dengan baik atau tidak saat pembelajaran sedang berlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif dengan menggunakan Studi Kasus yang memakai teknik tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 5 siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar karena hanya 5 siswa saja yang kurang dalam penelitian menyimak ini. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan ialah tes soal pilihan ganda dan soal essay dengan indikator soal C1 sampai dengan C6 sebanyak 10 soal pilihan ganda dan 5 soal essay. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa siswa dapat menangkap keterampilan menyimak dengan sangat baik. Penelitian ini juga memiliki faktor penghambat yaitu siswa memiliki karakteristik keterampilan menyimak yang berbeda-beda namun bisa memiliki kepemahaman yang sudah menjadi satu untuk menyimak cerita yang sudah di bacakan. ----- This research was motivated by the existence of several problems, including the low skill of listening to stories in elementary school students during the pandemic, during the pandemic there was a decline in listening skills. So it is necessary to have a solution to these problems to find out how much fourth-grade elementary school students are in understanding skills understanding. listen to it. The purpose of this study was to find out whether Class IV students listened well or not while learning was taking place. This study uses a qualitative method using case studies using a test, interview, and documentation techniques. The research subjects were 5 grade IV elementary school students because only 5 students were lacking in this listening research. The research instrument used was a multiple choice test and an essay question with indicators from C1 to C6 as many as 10 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that students could catch listening skills very well. This research also has an inhibiting factor, namely, students have different characteristics of listening skills but can have an understanding that has become one to listen to stories that have been read.
