Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena belum optimalnya internalisasi pendidikan karakter dalam proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini yaitu: Pertama, bagaimana menumbuhkan penguatan karakter peserta didik melalui literasi sejarah Buya Hamka. Kedua bagaimana perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru. Ketiga bagaimana hasil-hasil yang dicapai peserta didik melalui pembelajaran menggunakan biografi Buya Hamka. Keempat menganalisis kendala-kendala serta solusi dalam menumbuhkan penguatan karakter peserta didik melalui literasi sejarah Buya Hamka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan desain penelitian model Elliot. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPS dan lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 3 Painan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi sejarah melalui biografi Buya Hamka dapat meningkatkan penguatan karakter peserta didik. Hal ini terlihat dari tumbuhnya peningkatan penguatan karakter peserta didik sampai pada siklus ketiga pada kategori baik sehingga indikator penguatan karakter seperti religius, nasionalis, mandiri, integritas dan gotong royong sudah tercapai dengan baik. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan penelitian ini yaitu: a) pembelajaran melalui biografi Buya Hamka belum dikenal oleh peserta didik sehingga peneliti harus menjelaskan tahapan-tahapan saat penelitian kepada guru mitra. b) Efisiensi waktu dan keterbatasan alokasi waktu saat pelaksanaan masih belum maksimal. c) Pembahasan materi berbasis nilai-nilai serta biografi Buya Hamka dalam pembelajaran sejarah membutuhkan kemampuan dan keterampilan guru dalam mendesain dan mengimplementasikannya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran sejarah yang kreatif dan menarik serta dapat menambah wawasan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sejarah melalui biografi Buya Hamka untuk menumbuhkan penguatan pendidikan karakter peserta didik. This research is motivated because it has not been optimal internalization of character education in the learning process. The problems studied in this study are: First, how to foster the strengthening of the character of learners through the historical literacy of Buya Hamka. Second, how the planning and implementation of learning carried out by teachers. Third, how the results achieved by learners through learning using Buya Hamka Biography. Fourth, analyze the obstacles and solutions in fostering the strengthening of the characters of learners through Buya Hamka historical literacy. This research uses a class action research method (PTK) with Elliot model research design. The Subject of this study was class XI IPS and the research site was conducted at SMAN 3 Painan. The result showed that historical literacy through the biography of Buya Hamka can improve the strengthening of the character of learners. This is seen from the growth of increasing the strengthening of the character of learners to the third cycle in the good category so that indicators of character strengthening such as religious, nationalist, independent, integrity and communal work have been achieved well. The obstacles faced in the implementation of this study are: a) learning through Buya Hamka biography is not yet known by learners so researchers must explain the stages of research to partner teachers. b) Time efficiency and limited time allocation when implementation is still not maximal. c) Discussion of values-based material and biography of Buya Hamka in historical learning requires the ability and skills of teachers in designing and implementing them. It is hoped that this research can be used to create creative and interesting history learningand can add insight to prove historical literacy skills through the biography of Buya Hamka to foster the strengthening of the character education of students.
