Abstract
ABSTRAK Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurang optimalnya aktivitas siswa dalam keterampilan proses di SDN Medan Satria VII kelas V pada pembelajaran tema peristiwa dalam kehidupan, subtema 1 mengenai peristiwa kebangsaan masa penjajahan. Hal ini dikarenakan pada kegiatan pembelajaran siswa hanya menerima materi tanpa mengaitkan antara materi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, siswa juga kurang berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran, sehingga pembelajaran berlangsung satu arah. Siswa tidak difasilitasi pengetahuan melalui pengamatan dan percobaan yang dilakukan sendiri, siswa juga kurang diberi kesempatan untuk menyampaikan pendapatnya di depan kelas sehingga aktivitas belajar siswa menjadi rendah dan pembelajaran menjadi cenderung pasif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan keterampilan proses pada pembelajaran tema peristiwa dalam kehidupan, subtema peristiwa kebangsaan masa penjajahan dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe Numbered Head Together. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian dapat dilihat dari keterampilan proses siswa meningkat pada setiap siklus, keterampilan proses pada siklus I diperoleh nilai persentase 74,14% dengan kategori baik mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II dengan nilai persentase 90,32%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu adanya peningkatan ketrampilan proses siswa melalui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe numbered head together pada pembelajaran tema peristiwa dalam kehidupan subtema peristiwa kebangsaan masa penjajahan di Sekolah Dasar. Kata Kunci: Model Numbered Head Together (NHT), Keterampilan Proses ----- ABSTRAC This research is based on the lack of non optimal process skill at SDN Medan Satria VII class V on learning the theme of life in life, sub-theme 1 the nationality of the colonial period this is because in learning activities students only accept material without connecting between material and daily life, students also do not participate in learning, so learning takes place in one direction. Students are not facilitated by knowledge through observations and experiments conducted by themselves, students are also given fewer opportunities to express their opinions in fron of the class so that student learning activities become low and learning tends so be passive. The purpose of this study is to increase student activity by using prosess skills in learning the theme of events in life, sub-themes of the period of nationalism colonialism by applying the cooperative learning type Numbered Head Together. This type of research is class action research wich consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stage namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of the study can be seen from the improvement of students process skil in each cycle, the process skills in the first cycle obtained a percentage value of 74,14% with a good category experience an increase in the second cycle with a percentage value of 90,32%. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in student process skills through the application of cooperative learning type Numbered Head Together with of events in the life of sub-themes of national colonialism in elementary schools.
