Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih banyaknya siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda pada aspek menulis, sehingga harus dibantu dengan menggunakan teknik pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) kemampuan siswa menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda dalam menulis laporan perjalanan sebelum menggunakan teknik pembelajaran Think-Talk-Write (TTW); (2) kemampuan siswa menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda dalam menulis laporan perjalanan sesudah menggunakan teknik pembelajaran Think-Talk-Write (TTW); dan (3) perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik pembelajaran Think-Talk-Write (TTW) pada pembelajaran menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda dalam menulis laporan perjalanan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen, dengan menggunakan teknik tes. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar tes soal. Dari hasil analisis pretest dan posttest, kemampuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda dalam menulis laporan perjalanan siswa mengalami peningkatan. Dari hasil pretest diperoleh rata-rata kelas yaitu 51,44 dan pada hasil posttest mengalami peningkatan menjadi 75,33. Dari uji gain menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan teknik Think-Talk-Write (TTW) , yaitu 23,89. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung (11,76) > ttabél, (2,42), hal ini menyatakan bahwa hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik pembelajaran Think-Talk-Write (TTW) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menggunakan tatakrama bahasa Sunda dalam menulis laporan perjalanan siswa kelas VIII-E di SMP Negeri 45 Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014 bisa digunakan. Kata Kunci: teknik pembelajaran Think-Talk-Write (TTW), tatakrama bahasa Sunda, nulis laporan perjalanan. This study was conducted due to the difficulties which are experienced by many students in using Sundanese manners in aspect of writing, therefore the students should be helped by using learning technique. This study aims at describing students’ ability in using Sundanese manners in writing a journey report before using Think-Talk-Write (TTW) learning technique, students’ ability using Sundanese manners in writing a journey report after using Think-Talk-Write (TTW) learning technique, and the significant difference between before and after using Think-Talk-Write (TTW) learning technique in writing a journey report. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental method. The technique used in this study was test technique. And the instrument used was worksheet. From the pretest and posttest analysis, it was found that there was an improvement of students’ ability in using Sundanese manners in writing a journey report. From the result of pretest it was gained the mean score of the class which was 51,44, meanwhile it was an improvement from the result of posttest, which was 75,33. From the gain test it is shown that there was significant difference between students’ ability before and after using Think-Talk-Write (TTW) technique, with the mean difference 23,89. The result of hypotheses test wasthitung (11,76)>ttabél(2,42). It stated that Ha is accepted and null hypotheses (Ho) is rejected. Based on the result of this study, it can be concluded that the Think-Talk-Write (TTW) learning technique can be used in improving class VIII-E of 45 Junior High School Bandung students’ ability in using Sundanese manners in writing a journey report.
