Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh metode cooperative learning tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) terhadap prestasi belajar IPA siswa SMA di SLB E Bhina Putera Kota Surakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain A-B-A pada subjek siswa tunalaras kelas XI yang memiliki prestasi belajar yang rendah. Intervensi dilakukan dengan melakukan pembelajaran berbasis metode kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT). Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis dengan bentuk soal benar-salah dan isian singkat, kemudian terdapat tes tindakan / keterampilan dalam menjelaskan suatu materi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis antar kondisi dan analisis dalam kondisi. Penyajian data dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik dengan melihat hasil perubahan prestasi belajar siswa pada fase baseline-1 (A1), intervensi (B) dan baseline-2 (A2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode cooperative learning tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) mampu memberikan pengaruh yang positif dalam prestasi belajar siswa. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan adanya kenaikan pada mean level dari fase baseline-1 (A1) sebesar 37,6%, mean level pada fase intervensi (B) sebesar 53,0% dan mean level pada fase baseline-2 (A2) sebesar 62,3%. Kemudian didukung juga dengan persentase overlap yang rendah yaitu overlap antar kondisi baseline-1 dan intervensi sebesar 0 begitu juga dengan kondisi intervensi dan baseline-2. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode cooperative learning tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dapat memberikan pengaruh positif pada prestasi belajar siswa tunalaras, metode cooperative learning juga dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas untuk meciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan menyenangkan pada subjek tertentu. The goal of this research is to test the effects of numbered head together-type (NHT) cooperative learning method on science learning achievement of SMALB E Bhina Putera Kota Surakarta student. The research method used here is single subject research with A-B-A design on emotionally-disabled grade 11 subject with low learning achievement. Intervention has been done by doing the learning process based on NHT-type cooperative learning method. Data gathered through written test consisting of true-or-false questions and short essays, followed by behavior/ability test in explaining a material. Data analyzed by using between-conditions and within-condition analysis. Data presented in table and graph by looking at the change of student’s achievement on baseline 1 (A1), intervention (B), and baseline 2 (A2) phases. The research shows that NHT-type cooperative learning method is able to give positive effects on student’s achievement. It is proven by the increase on mean level from 37,6% on baseline 1 (A1) phase, to 53,0% on intervention (B) phase, and then to 62,3% on baseline 2 (A2) phase. It is complemented by a low overlap of zero between the conditions. Based on the data, we can conclude that NHT-type cooperative learning method can give positive effect on learning achievement of students with emotional disability, and that NHT-type cooperative learning method also can be used as an alternative in class learning processes to make learning ambience in certain subjects active and engaging.
