    Abstract

    Pendekatan saintifik merupakan suatu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perkembangan keterampilan proses sains dan peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa setelah diterapkannya pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel sebanyak 30 siswa dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling di salah satu SMA di Kota Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS), serta tes penguasaan konsep dengan bentuk soal tes berupa pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik dalam pembelajaran dapat mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains dan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa.

    Scientific approach is one of approach that can be used to train science process skills and improve mastery of students' concepts. This research aims to identify the development of science process skills and increased mastery of students' concepts after the implementation of a scientific approach. The research method is a pre-experimental with using one group pretest-posttest design. Sample in this research is 30 students selected by cluster random sampling technique in one of the senior high schools in Cimahi City. The instruments that used is observation sheet used to look at implementation of scientific approach in the learning, Student Worksheets (LKS), and concept mastery tests with the form of multiple choice test questions. The results of the research show that the implementation of a scientific approach in the learning can develop the science process skills and enhance mastery of students' concepts.
