Abstract

Masalah yang sering ditemukan dalam proses pembelajaran salah satunya adalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa, sehingga diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang inovatif. Tujuan utama penelitian ini ialah untuk menguji pengaruh penggunaan strategi permainan Ular Tangga terhadap minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 4 Cimahi . Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan signifikan penerapan “Strategi Permainan Ular Tangga” di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dalam dalam pelajaran IPS. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi, dengan desain kelompok kontrol “non-equivalent”, dan sampel terdiri dari kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan minat belajar siswa sebelum mendapat perlakuan, secara keseluruhan berada pada tingkat “Baik”. Perolehan pre-test di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol ialah ke-empat indikator perhatian ,keterlibatan, rasa senang dan ketertarikan termasuk dalam kategori “Baik” pada kedua kelas.Setelah dilakukan perlakuan minat belajar siswa secara keseluruhan berada pada tingkat “Sangat Baik”.Perolehan Pro-test di kelas eksperimen ialah, indikator perhatian ,keterlibatan ,rasa senang termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”dan indikator ketertarikan termasuk dalam kategori “Baik”.Sedangkan pada kelas kontrol ialah,indikator keterlibatan ,perhatian termasuk dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”,indikator rasa senang dan ketertarikan termasuk dalam kategori “Baik”. Dari data-data ini dapat diperoleh bahwa Minat belajar siswa meningkat lebih signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibanding pada kelas kontrol. Disimpulkan terdapat efektivitas dari strategi permainan Ular Tangga yang berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS, ;---A problem that often found in learning class is students’ low interest in learning, so it needed learning innovative process. The main objective of this research is to test or find out the influence of Snake and Ladder learning strategy against the students’ learning interest at social learning in junior high school of 4 Cimahi (SMPN 4 Cimahi). The research was conducted in order to show the difference of using Snake and Ladder learning strategy against the students’ learning interest in studying social learning compare with the one which use traditional method. The writer used quasi experiment method with the design “non-equivalent control group design” with a pattern “before” and “after”, and the sample consists of the control class and the experimental class. The results showed student interest before getting treatment, as a whole are at a level "Good". The acquisition of the pre-test in the experimental class and control class is the four indicators of attention, involvement, pleasure and interest included in the category "Good" in both classes. After the treatment of students' interest in learning as a whole is at the level of "Very Good".The acquisition of Pro-test in the experimental class is, indicators of attention, involvement, feeling of pleasure included in the category "Very Good" and indicators of interest included in the category of "Good". While in the control class is, indicators of involvement, attention is included in the category "Very Good" , indicators of pleasure and interest are included in the category of "Good". If we compare the result, students’ interest mean on experiment class group improved more significantly higher than on control class group. It can be concluded that snake and ladder learning strategy is effective on improving the students’ learning interest in learning social.
