Abstract
Dalam proses pembelajaran siswa mengalami perubahan tingkah laku yang positif, seperti tingkah laku terhadap pengetahuan, sikap, serta keterampilan. Tujuan dari dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write yang bertujuan melatih siswa untuk menganalisis permasalahan, dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik dalam penyampaian ide yang dikembangkan dari pemikiran secara individual maupun kelompok, dan dapat menuliskan hasil diskusinya terhadap pemahaman konsep pembelajaran IPS ke dalam bentuk tulisan secara sistematis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan desain spiral dari Kemmis dan Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-H SMP Negeri 30 Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, tes, rubrik penilaian, dokumentasi, serta catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis, diantaranya 1) tindakan siklus I diperoleh presentase 57,3%, 2) tindakan siklus II mengalami peningkatan dengan presentase 82%, 3) tindakan siklus III diperoleh presentase 85,1%, dan 4) tindakan siklus IV diperoleh dengan presentase 86,7%. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VIII-H SMP Negeri 30 Bandung, oleh karena itu model pembelajaran Think Talk Write direkomendasikan dalam pembelajaran IPS. ..... In the learning process students experience positive behavioral changes, such as behavior towards knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The purpose of this research is to improve students’ writing skills in social studies learning using Think Talk Write learning models which aims to train students to analyze problems, be able to communicate well in the delivery of ideas developed from individual of group thinking, and can write the results of the discussion on understanding the consept of social studies learning in writing in a systematic manner. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches with classroom action research methods with spiral designs from Kemmis and Taggart. The subjects in this study is VIII-H students of SMP Negeri 30 Bandung. Data collections techniques used are observation, interviews, tests, assessment rubrics, documentation, and field notes. The results of the study to improve writing skills, including : 1) cycle I actions obtained percentage of 57,3%, 2) cycle II actions have increased with a percentage of 82%,3) cycle III actions obtained percentage of 85,1%, and 4) cycle actions IV was obtained with a percentage of 86,7%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that by applying the Think Talk Write learning model in social studies learning can improve the writing skills of class VIII-H students of SMP Negeri 30 Bandung, therefore the Think Talk Write model learning is recommended in social studies learning.
