Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Peranan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai demokratis siswa berbasis perspektif global”. Latar Belakang masalahnya adalah Dalam era global, pendidikan nasional harus memperhatikan perkembangan yang terjadi secara internasional, maka kajian kompetesi guru sebagai unsur pokok dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan formal perlu pula mempertimbangkan bagaimana kompetensi guru dibina dan dikembangkan. Berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, guru perlu memperhatikan bahwa siswa memiliki berbagai potensi dalam dirinya.Rumusan masalahnya adalah; (1) Apa peran guru PKn dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai demokratis siswa bebrbasis perspektif global. Tujuan penelitian adalah: (1) Mengetahui peran guru PKn dalam menumbuhkan nilai-nilai demokratis siswa bebrbasis perspektif global. Subjek dalam penelitian ini guru dan siswa di SMAN 5 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam menumbuhkan nilainilai demokratis guru sudah berusaha semaksimal mungkin. Upaya yang dilakukan yaitu dengan memberikan pemahaman dan pembelajaran-pembelajaran mengenai nilainilai demokratis juga dilakukan oleh guru agar siswa mampu menyampaikan pendapatnya dan membuat siswa semakin percaya diri atas apa yang dicapainya. Hambatan yang dialami oleh guru adalah bimbingan terhadap siswa terkadang tidak berjalan dengan baik, siswa yang masih belum percaya diri dalam menyampaikan pendapat atau mengekspresikan diri dengan baik juga masih sangat banyak. Kesimpulannya adalah guru selalu meberikan pembelajaran dan penumbuhan nilai-nilai demokratis serta pemahaman tentang bebas mengemukakan pendapat, guru selalu melakukan pembinan untuk siswa yang masih kekurangan kepercayaan diri. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah diharapkan guru selalu meningkatkan pembelajaran mengenai nilai-nilai demokratis berbasis perpektif global agar semua siswa berani untuk tampil didepan umum, guru harus mendukung apapun yang akan dikemukakan siswa dengan baik dalam proses belajar mengajar di SMAN 5 Bandung.;--This study is entitled "The Role of Citizenship Education in fostering democratic values of students based on a global perspective". The background of the problem is that in the global era, national education must pay attention to developments that occur internationally, so the study of teacher competencies as a key element in the administration of formal education also needs to consider how teacher competencies are fostered and developed. Related to the implementation of learning, teachers need to pay attention that students have various potentials within themselves. The formulation of the problem is; (1) What is the role of Civics teachers in fostering democratic values of students based on a global perspective. The objectives of the study are: (1) Determine the role of Civics teachers in fostering democratic values of students based on a global perspective. The subjects in this study were teachers and students at SMAN 5 Bandung. The research method used in this study uses a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. Data collection is done by interview. The results showed that in cultivating democratic values the teacher had tried as much as possible. The effort made is to provide understanding and learning about democratic values also done by the teacher so that students are able to express their opinions and make students more confident about what they are achieving. The obstacle experienced by the teacher is that guidance to students sometimes does not go well, students who are still not confident in expressing opinions or expressing themselves well are still very much. The conclusion is that the teacher always gives learning and the growth of democratic values and an understanding of freedom of expression, the teacher always conducts training for students who still lack self-confidence. The suggestion in this research is that teachers are expected to always improve learning about democratic values based on a global perspective so that all students dare to appear in public, the teacher must support whatever students will put forward well in the teaching and learning process at SMAN 5 Bandung.
