Abstract
Dalam kurikulum matematika, aljabar dikenal sebagai salah satu topik yang cukup sulit. Beberapa penelitian terkait model pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran aljabar, yaitu mata kuliah teori Grup, struktur aljabar, dan teori bilangan; telah dilakukan pada mahasiswa calon guru matematika. Kemampuan matematis yang diperhatikan pada beberapa penelitian tersebut adalah kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi, seperti kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis. Selain itu, temuan dari sebuah penelitian terkait perbandingan model pembelajaran pada mata kuliah teori bilangan menarik untuk dikaji. Mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kooperatif lebih aktif dalam berdiskusi. Hasil belajar dari perkuliahan tersebut pun cukup mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal. Pada Ujian Kualifikasi Guru (UKG) tahun 2015, teori bilangan dan kemampuan berpikir matematis tingkat tinggi, yang berhubungan dengan kecerdasan logis-matematis, diujikan dalam bidang profesional. Selain itu, dalam bidang pedagogik diujikan pula kompetensi yang berhubungan dengan kecerdasan interpersonal. Fakta-fakta tersebut memunculkan sebuah ide untuk melakukan penelitian terkait penerapan pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan logis-matematis dan interpersonal (BKLMI) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis mahasiswa calon guru matematika pada mata kuliah teori bilangan. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretest-posttest yang dilakukan di salah satu universitas swasta Bandung. Banyak sampel 62 mahasiswa semester II yang terdiri dari 32 mahasiswa di kelas BKLMI dan 30 mahasiswa di kelas ekspositori. Perbandingan pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis ditinjau berdasarkan faktor pembelajaran dan kategori kemampuan awal matematis mahasiswa. Secara keseluruhan, pencapaian akhir dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis mahasiswa kelas BKLMI lebih baik daripada mahasiswa kelas ekspositori. Selain itu, diperoleh temuan lain dari penelitian ini yang dijelaskan pada bagian pembahasan.;--- In the mathematics curriculum, algebra is known as one of the most difficult topics. Several studies related to the learning model applied in algebra learning, namely group theory, algebraic structure, and number theory; has been done on prospective mathematics teachers. Judging for the depth of though, mathematical thinking ability that paid attention in some of those studies are in higher-order mathematical thinking ability, such as mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities. In addition, the findings of a research related to the comparison of learning model applied in number theory course are interesting to study. The students who learn in cooperative learning model are more active in discussions. The learning outcomes from the lecture was enough to reach the minimum passing grade. In the 2015 Teacher Qualification Exam (UKG), number theory and higher-order mathematical thinking ability that related to logical-mathematical intelligence, are tested in the professional field. In addition, in the field of pedagogy there are also competencies tested related to interpersonal intelligence. Those facts led an idea to conduct a study related to the implementation of logical-mathematical and interpersonal intelligences based (BKLMI) learning model to enhance student’s mathematical critical and creative thinking ability of prospective mathematics teacher in number theory course. The research is quantitative with the pretest-posttest control group designed conducted in one of the private universities in Bandung. As many 62 students of prospective mathematics teacher sample in the second semester, consisted of 32 students in the BKLMI class and 30 students in the expository class. Comparisons of mathematical critical and creative thinking ability in final achievements and enhancements of the two classes were reviewed as a whole and based on the category of prior knowledge students. Overall, mathematical critical and creative thinking ability in final achievement and enhancement student of BKLMI’s class were better than expository class. Moreover, there are other findings of this study are discribed in the discussion section.
