Abstract
The application of interactive animation-based multimedia in the learning process on the basic materials of metal treatment, especially the corrosion and coating competence is still limited and most have not been used. Competence of corrosion and metal coating at the University is still much under the Minimum Criteria of Completeness (KKM). Therefore, the application of Multimedia animation is done with the aim to increase student learning interest, know the student's response and improve student learning outcomes. This research uses Quasi Experiment method until trial of media application. After the implementation of interactive multimedia-based animation is completed by testing by media experts and material experts. Questionnaire instrument to reveal student response and test questions after learning process to know improvement of student learning outcomes. The result of the research shows that interactive animation based animation applied is considered feasible by the media expert of 79,41% and material expert reaches 100% with criterion very feasible and the increase of student achievement from result of test after applied multimedia animation equal to 33,3% ie good. Kelulusa learning outcomes increased from 0% to 33.3% reaching KKM with an average grade of 80.43.
