Abstract
Penelitian ini dilandasi adanya fenomena pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni rupa di sekolah dasar yang kurang efektif dalam membentuk kemandirian siswa, salah satunya dikarenakan mayoritas pendidik di sekolah dasar bukan berlatarbelakang pendidikan seni. Untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan bagaimana menguatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar khususnya kompetensi pedagogik untuk menciptakan pembelajaran mandiri dalam mata pelajaran seni rupa, dilaksanakan penelitian terbatas pada guru kelas tiga di empat sekolah dasar yang terdapat di Kecamatan Garut Kota Kabupaten Garut. Dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran kompetensi pedagogik guru kelas tiga sebelum dilaksanakan penguatan kompetensi, memaparkan pelaksanaan penguatan kompetensi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran mandiri dalam mata pelajaran seni rupa, dan menganalisis hasil penguatan tersebut. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus (case-studies) digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi data. Temuan dalam penelitian ini terdapat kekurangan pada kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam pengelolaan peserta didik dan penguasaan materi seni rupa. Kegiatan workshop dengan materi teori dan praktek sesuai kebutuhan guru masing-masing sekolah dasar diberikan pada kegiatan penguatan kompetensi ini, disertai kegiatan bimbingan dan diskusi sebanyak dua kali pertemuan. Hasilnya seluruh guru mengaplikasikan materi workshop yang telah diberikan khususnya materi praktek dibandingkan teori. Materi praktek lebih membantu guru mengajar seni rupa pada siswa di kelas.---- This research is based on the phenomenon of learning art in elementary school which is ineffective in building students' independence, one of them is because the majority of teachers' background in elementary school is not education of art. To know and explain how to strengthen elementary school teachers' competency, especially their pedagogic competency to create independent learning on art, then, this limited research is performed to teachers of third grade on four elementary schools located in District of Garut Kota, Garut City. In order to describe the illustration of pedagogic competence of the third grade teachers before strengthening the compentency, describing the implementation of strengthened competency to create independent learning art is performed, and analyzing the result of it. Quantitative approach with case-studies method was used in this research, such as collecting observed data, interview, documentation, and triangulation data. There is deficiency on the finding, that is deficiency on teachers' pedagogic competency on managing students and understanding the material of art. Workshop with the material of theory and practice which are compatible to each elementary school's teachers was performed on this activity, with two times meeting of guidance and discussion. The result shows that all teachers will implement the material given on the workshop, especially practical material compared to the theory. The material of practice is more helpful to teachers in teaching art to students in the class.
