Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw I terhadap efikasi diri dan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik kelas X SMA pada materi struktur atom. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian quasi experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen, metode yang digunakan adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw I, sementara pada kelas kontrol menggunakan diskusi kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw I dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri dan kemampuan kognitif peserta didik. Rata-rata <g> efikasi diri peserta didik kelas eksperimen (<g> = 0,62) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (<g> = 0,51). Begitu pula kemampuan kognitif, rata-rata <g> kemampuan kognitif peserta didik kelas eksperimen (<g> = 0,73) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (<g> = 0,65). Kata-kata kunci: Jigsaw I, Efikasi Diri, Kemampuan Kognitif, dan Struktur Atom;--- The aim of study was to obtain information about the effect of cooperative learning Jigsaw type I to self efficacy and cognitive ability of students of class X in atomic structure. This study used a quasi-experimental research method with pretest-posttest design, committed against two classes. The experimental class used Jigsaw cooperative learning type I, and the control class used regular group discussions. The results showed that the cooperative learning tipe Jigsaw I can improve self-efficacy and cognitive ability of students. The <g> mean scores self-efficacy of experimental group (<g> = 0.62) is higher than the control group (<g> = 0.51). Similarly, the <g> mean scores cognitive ability experimental group (<g> = 0.73) was higher than the control group (<g> = 0.65).
