Abstract
Tesis ini merupakan hasil penelitian tentang kontribusi pembelajaran dan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa di sekolah, yang dilaksanakan di SMA unggulan kabupaten Pandeglang, melibatkan 271 siswa. Masalah pokok penelitian yaitu bagaimana kontribusi pembelajaran dan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa di sekolah. Pertayaan penelitian sebagai berikut: (1). Bagaimana kontribusi pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa yang dilaksanakan di sekolah; (2). Bagaimana kontribusi guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa yang dilaksanakan di sekolah; (3). Bagaimana kontribusi pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa di sekolah. Hal ini didasarkan atas teori Belajar Behavioristik dan Teori Belajar Sosial tentang perubahan karakter sebagai hasil dari pembelajaran dan Role Model. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, questioner, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan regresi. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan beberapa hal, diantaranya: (1) Bahwa Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa. Pelaksanakaan pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan selalu dipersiapkan dengan sebaik-baiknya yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi pembelajaran. (2) Guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa. Guru Pendikan Kewarganegaraan selalu memberikan contoh karakter disiplin atau sebagai role model bagi diri siswa. (3). Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dan guru Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan memiliki kontribusi terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin siswa. Dari hasil analisis di atas dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan memiliki kontribusi positif dan signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter displin siswa di sekolah unggulan Kabupaten Pandeglang. Berdasarkan hasil temuan peneliti, maka peneliti merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai kontribusi pembelajaran dan guru Pendidikan Kerwarganegraan terhadap pembentukan karakter disiplin dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. This thesis is a study about learning contribution and Civic Education teacher towards character building of students’ discipline at school, which is conducted at top Senior High School in Pandeglang regency which involves 271 students. Main problem of this study namely, how learning contribution and Civic Education teacher towards character building of students’ discipline at school. The study questions as follows: (1) How is contribution of Civic Education learning towards character building of students’ discipline which is implemented at school; (2) How is Civic Education teacher contribution towards character building of students’ discipline which is implemented at school; (3) How is Civic Education learning contribution and Civic Education teacher towards character building of students’ discipline at school. It is based on Behavioristic Learning Theory end Social Learning Theory about character changes as the results from learning end Role model. The approach which is used in this study is quantitative approach with analytic descriptive method. Data is collected through observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Then, data is analyzed by using regression. This study reveals several things, namely: (1) That Civic Education Learning contributes towards character building of students’ discipline. The implementation of Civic Education learning always be prepared well which is begun with planning, implementation, until learning evaluation. (2) Civic Education Teacher contributes significantly towards character building of students’ discipline. Civic Education teacher always give model of discipline character of as a role model for students. (3) Civic Education learning and Civic Education teacher has contribution towards character building of students’ discipline. From the analysis results, it can be concluded that Civic Education learning gives positive and significant contribution towards character building of students’ discipline at top school in Pandeglang Regency. Based on the study findings, so, the researcher recommends further study about learning contribution and Civic Education learning towards discipline character building by using qualitative approach.
