Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar permasalahan yang terjadi di lapangan, bahwa pada umumnya rasa percaya diri anak kelompok A PAUD Miana V masih dalam keadaan rendah. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah kegiatan pembelajaran guru kurang memberikan stimulasi untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini mencoba memperbaiki proses kegiatan pembelajaran dalam rangka meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak kelompok A PAUD Miana V KPAD Geger Kalong melalui penerapan metode show and tell. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas. Adapun teknik dan alat pengumpul data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga tindakan. Pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai dari tanggal 26 Maret sampai 22 Mei 2014. Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rasa percaya diri anak kelompok A PAUD Miana V setelah diterapkan metode show and tell. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari 1) anak-anak lebih aktif dan semangat dalam mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran; 2) anak-anak lebih berani dan lebih sering bercerita kepada guru maupun temannya; 3) anak-anak lebih mandiri seperti mengerjakan tugas sendiri; dan 4) anak-anak lebih antusias dan semangat ketika menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan guru dan mampu mengajukan pertanyaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa metode show and tell dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri anak. Rekomendasi bagi peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengkaji lebih jauh berbagai strategi atau metode pembelajarana lain yang dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri pada anak This research to be done going upon basic problem that occur in location, that normally selfconfidence of children in group A PAUD Miana V in bad condition. One of the causal factor is learning activity from teacher that understimulation to increasing selfconfidence of children. Therefore, researcher will try to improving process of learning activity in order to increasing selfconfidence of children in group A PAUD Miana V KPAD Geger Kalong by application of show and tell method. Method that are used in this reasearch is class measure research. Technique and tool to gather data in this research is observation, interview, documentation. Whereas, data analysis by use of date reduction, data display, and verification. This research be done by two cycle. Implementation of research start from March 24th until Mei 26th 2014. Research finding result indicating that selfconfidence increased on children in group A PAUD Miana V after implementation of show and tell method. this case can perceptible from 1) children more active and enthusiasm when learning activity; 2) children more audacious and more regular to telling a story to teacher or their friend; 3) children be own master as doing their task by themselves; and 4) children more enthusiastic and enthusiasm upon aswer the question those given their teacher and be able to made free to ask. By result of research obtain conclusion that show and tell method can increasing selfconfidence of children. Recommendation for the next researcher expected can analyze farther other strategy or other learning method that can increasing selfconfidence of children.
