Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembuktian efektivitas model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Head Together terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Dengan dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi matematika serta peserta didik terlihat bosan dan tidak termotivasi untuk belajar matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experiment dengan populasi kelas III SD se-kecamatan Sumber, menggunakan sampel kelas III SDN 1 Sumber dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non probability-purposive sampling melalui rincian kelas III A sebagai kelas kontrol sebanyak 15 siswa dan kelas III B sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 17 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian post-test only control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar tes berjumlah 5 nomor item sesuai dengan indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah menurut Polya (1985). Berdasar hasil analisis data melalui uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t (compare means-indipendent sample t-test) dan memperoleh hasil signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 5% diperoleh skor ttabel sebesar 2,042. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model Cooperative Learning tipe Numbered Head Together efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dikarenakan perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang berbeda antara kelas kontrol dan juga kelas eksperimen. This research focuses on proving the effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning model type Numbered Head Together on mathematical problem solving abilities. With the background of the difficulties of students in understanding mathematics material and students look bored and not motivated to learn mathematics. The research method used is an experiment with a population of class III elementary schools in the Sumber district, using a sample of class III SDN 1 Sumber using a sampling technique non probability-purposive sampling through details of class III A as a control class of 15 students and class III B as an experimental class of 17 students. This study uses a research design post-test only control group design. Data collection techniques using tests. The research instrument used test sheets totaling 5 item numbers according to the indicators of problem solving ability according to Polya (1985). Based on the results of data analysis through hypothesis testing using the t-test (compare means-indipendent sample t-test) and obtaining a significance result of 0.000 with a significance level of 5% obtained a t scoretable of 2.042. Thus, the use of the model Cooperative Learning type Numbered Head Together effective on mathematical problem-solving abilities due to differences in problem-solving abilities between the control class and the experimental class.
