    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi bisnis prospector dan biaya riset dan pengembangan terhadap financial distress. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu perusahaan sektor manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) tahun 2019-2021 dengan metode pengambilan sampel purposive sampling sehingga didapat sebanyak 33 perusahaan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam melakukan uji hipotesis yaitu analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa (1) strategi bisnis prospector berpengaruh terhadap financial distress; (2) biaya riset dan pengembangan tidak berpengaruh terhadap financial distress.
    This study aims to determine the effect of the prospector's business strategy and research and development costs on financial distress. The population of this research is manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2019-2021 using the purposive sampling method so that a total of 33 companies are obtained. The analysis technique used in testing the hypothesis is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing show that (1) the prospector's business strategy has an effect on financial distress; (2) research and development costs have no effect on financial distress.
