Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu, penutur Nyi Mas Cincin yang semakin berkurang, penuturan yang semakin jarang dilakukan, serta minat generasi muda terhadap sastra lisan semakin berkurang serta proses pewarisan yang belum maksimal dilakukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang telah dikumpulkan lalu dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Kerangka penelitian ini meliputi analisis struktur teks, analisis konteks penuturan, proses penciptaan, fungsi dan nilai penguatan pendidikan karakter dan pemanfaatannya sebagai buku pengayaan pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) struktur yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini diantaranya adalah alur yang merupakan alur maju, tokoh dalam cerita ini adalah tokoh sederhana, latar masa lampau dan tema dari cerita ini adalah tentang cinta dan kekerasan. 2) proses penciptaan dan pewarisan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan oleh orang-orang yang dipercaya masyarakat mengetahui pasti tentang legenda Nyi Mas Cincin sedangkan pewarisan cerita tersebut bisa bersifat vertikal maupun horizontal, 3) konteks budaya tujuan utama dari penuturan cerita tersebut dilakukan sebagai bentuk pelestarian, konteks situasi tempat dan waktu tidak ditentukan, konteks sosial penutur dan pendengar, konteks ideologi berkaitan dengan kepercayaan masyarakat yakni sebelum menceritakan cerita tersebut diharuskan melakukan tawasulan di tempat Nyi Mas Cincin, 4) fungsi cerita legenda Nyi Mas Cincin adalah sebagai mata pencaharian dan sebagai alat hiburan bagi masyarakat, 5) nilai penguatan pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam legenda Nyi Mas Cincin ada yaitu, nilai karakter mandiri, kerja keras, tanggung jawab, dan solidaritas, 6) pemanfaatan cerita legenda Nyi Mas Cincin dibuat menjadi sebuah buku pengayaan pengetahuan yang berjudul Legenda Nyi Mas Cincin. The background of this research is that the number of speakers of Nyi Mas Cincin is decreasing, the narrative is less and less done, and the younger generation's interest in oral literature is decreasing and the inheritance process has not been maximally carried out. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. This research framework includes text structure analysis, narrative context analysis, creation process, function and value of strengthening character education and its use as a knowledge enrichment book. The results show that 1) the structures discussed in this study include the plot which is a forward plot, the characters in this story are simple characters, the background of the past and the theme of this story is about love and violence. 2) the process of creation and inheritance in this research is carried out by people who are trusted by the community to know for sure about the legend of Nyi Mas Cincin while the inheritance of the story can be vertical or horizontal, 3) the cultural context the main purpose of telling the story is done as a form of preservation, context the situation of place and time is not determined, the social context of speakers and listeners, the ideological context is related to public belief, namely before telling the story, it is required to do tawasulan at Nyi Mas Cincin's place, 4) the function of the Nyi Mas Cincin legend is as a livelihood and as a means of entertainment for the community. the community, 5) the value of strengthening character education contained in the Nyi Mas Cincin legend, namely, the value of independent character, hard work, responsibility, and solidarity, 6) the use of the Nyi Mas Cincin legend was made into a knowledge enrichment book entitled The Legend of Nyi Mas Cincin.
