Abstract
Desa Ujung Genteng adalah salah satu desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Ciracap, Kabupaten Sukabumi yang memiliki potensi wisata berupa pantai, konservasi terumbu karang, cagar alam, bukit teletubis, perkebunan kelapa, masyarakat yang masih melestarikan budaya pagelaran hari nelayan, serta flora dan fauna. Desa Ujung Genteng merupakan desa yang direncanakan oleh pemerintah desa. Akan tetapi dalam proses pengembanganya Desa Ujung Genteng memiliki kendala berupa belum adanya pengelolaan pengembangan dari pemerintah desa. Ekowisata merupakan bentuk pengembangan yang tepat mengingat potensi-potensi wisata Desa Ujung Genteng seperti pantai, konservasi terumbu karang, cagar alam, bukit teletubis, perkebunan kelapa, masyarakat yang masih melestarikan budaya pagelaran hari belayan, serta flora dan fauna memerlukan pengelolaan yang melibatkan masyarakat lokal serta mengedepankan nilai ekonomi kerakyatan, pelestarian seni budaya, serta mengutamakan konservasi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik analisis SWOT ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi pengembangan ekowisata, serta strategi pengembangan seperti apa yang tepat untuk Desa Ujung Genteng. Dari hasil analisis ini dapat diketahui bahwa faktor kekuatan dari internal dan peluang eksternal Desa Ujung Genteng lebih kuat jika dibandingkan dengan faktor kelemahan internal dan ancaman eksternal sehingga menghasilkan strategi progresif dimana Desa Ujung Genteng dapat dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan. Ujung Genteng Village is one of the villages located in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency which has tourism potential in the form of beaches, coral reef conservation, nature reserves, teletubis hills, coconut plantations, people who still preserve the culture of fishermen's day performances, as well as flora and fauna. Ujung Genteng Village is a village planned by the village government. However, in the development process, Ujung Genteng Village has obstacles in the form of the absence of development management from the village government. Ecotourism is the right form of development considering the tourism potentials of Ujung Genteng Village such as beaches, coral reef conservation, nature reserves, teletubis hills, coconut plantations, people who still preserve the culture of belayan day performances, as well as flora and fauna that require management involving local communities and prioritizing people's economic values, preserving arts and culture, and prioritizing conservation. This study uses a qualitative method with a SWOT analysis technique, which aims to determine the internal and external factors that influence the development of ecotourism, as well as what development strategies are appropriate for Ujung Genteng Village. From the results of this analysis, it can be seen that the strenght factors from internal and external opportunities in Ujung Genteng Village are stronger when compared to internal weaknesses and external threats, resulting in a progressive strategy where Ujung Genteng Village can be developed sustainably.
