Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia disebut sebagai negara agraris yang kaya akan sumber daya alamnya karena sebagian besar penduduknya bekerja sebagai petani. Kenyataannya situasi di Indonesia saat ini justru masih bergantung pada impor dan banyak petani yang kurang sejahtera hidupnya. Situasi ini disebabkan oleh masalah harga jual petani lebih rendah dari harga pemerintah, sementara petani harus menanggung biaya yang besar dengan terus melambungnya harga pupuk dari waktu ke waktu. Keresahan muncul ketika di kampung halaman melihat pesawahan yang semakin sedikit akibat alihfungsi lahan menjadi lahan non-pertanian. Faktor lainnya adalah tidak ada regenerasi petani. Penulis selalu membayangkan kondisi dikemudian hari jika masyarakatnya enggan lagi bertani dan meninggalkan dunia pertanian secara perlahan. Penciptaan ini sebagai upaya menyadarkan kembali pentingnya dunia pertanian bagi keberlangsungan kehidupan sehingga pekerjaan sebagai petani dihargai dan diminati lagi. Penulis mengajak agar masyarakat khususnya generasi muda memajukan dunia pertanian yang dahulu dipandang rendah. Banyak masyarakat belum mengetahui tentang karya seni grafis, maka terciptalah karya seni sebagai media mengekspresikan diri dan penyampaian pesan lewat simbol visual. Metode yang digunakan menyesuaikan proses kreasi pribadi dengan mengadopsi skema proses kreatif dari buku Potensi Manusia: Kreativitas yang ditulis oleh Primadi tahun 2017. Lima buah karya dibuat dengan ukuran 30 cm x 40 cm 2 buah dan ukuran 40 cm x 60 cm sebanyak 3 buah menggunakan hardboard pada kertas concorde. Setiap karya yang penulis buat menyajikan rekam kejadian permasalahan di dunia pertanian khusunya petani padi dengan objek utama yang bervariatif. Objek pendukung seperti tumpukan jerami, karung pupuk, uang lembar, padi dan hewan penghuni sawah turut dihadirkan. Objek karya ini diadopsi dari apa yang ada di lingkungan sekitar penulis. ABSTRACT Indonesia is referred to as an agrarian country rich in natural resources because most of the population works as farmers. In fact, the current situation in Indonesia is still dependent on imports and many farmers are less prosperous. This situation was caused by the problem that the farmers' selling price was lower than the government's price, while farmers had to bear large costs by continuing to soar fertilizer prices from time to time. Anxiety arose when in his hometown he saw that there were fewer and fewer rice fields due to the conversion of land to non-agricultural land. Another factor is that there is no farmer regeneration. The author always imagines the conditions in the future if the people are reluctant to farm anymore and leave the world of agriculture slowly. This creation is an effort to re-awaken the importance of the world of agriculture for the sustainability of life so that work as a farmer is valued and in demand again. The author invites the public, especially the younger generation, to advance the world of agriculture which was previously looked down upon. Many people do not know about graphic arts, so they create works of art as a medium for expressing themselves and conveying messages through visual symbols. The method used adjusts the personal creation process by adopting the creative process scheme from the book Human Potential: Creativity written by Primadi in 2017. Five works were made with 2 pieces measuring 30 cm x 40 cm and 3 pieces measuring 40 cm x 60 cm using hardboard on concorde paper. Each work that the author makes presents a record of the occurrence of problems in the world of agriculture, especially rice farmers with varied main objects. Supporting objects such as haystacks, sacks of fertilizer, bills, rice and animals that inhabit the fields are also presented.
