    Abstract

    SMKN 1 Gabuswetan merupakan salah satu sekolah kejuruan yang menjadi alternatif utama
    setelah SMA negeri yang berada di daerah Indramayu. Saat ini sekolah tersebut memiliki beberapa
    kelemahan dan ancaman yang harus diatasi, salah satunya banyak sekolah baru setingkat SMK yang
    dibangun di daerah sekitar yang dapat menjadi ancaman bagi sekolah. Sehingga untuk meningkatkan
    daya saing sekolah dan menyiapkan lulusan yang berkualitas di sekolah, maka diperlukan adanya
    rencana strategis berupa analisis SWOT. Analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat)
    merupakan metode yang dirancang untuk menyusun perencanaan yang akan berpengaruh terhadap
    keputusan atau strategi yang akan diterapkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui
    kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman serta strategi yang harus dilakukan oleh sekolah. Pada
    penelitian ini jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menyajikan
    desain penelitian deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik wawancara,
    observasi dan dokumentasi di SMKN 1 Gabuswetan. Dari hasil analisis SWOT didapatkan hasil yang
    berada pada kuadran 1 yaitu SO (Strength Opportunity) sehingga langkah yang harus dilakukan yaitu
    mendukung strategi agresif. Gambaran mengenai penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan untuk
    bisa menemukan kelemahan dan ancaman sehingga dapat memberikan solusi atau strategi yang baik
    untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut.

    SMKN 1 Gabuswetan is one of the vocational schools that is the main alternative after the state
    high school located in Indramayu. Currently, the school has several weaknesses and threats that must
    be overcome, one of which is the many new schools at the same level as SMK built in the surrounding
    areas that can be a threat to the school. Therefore, to improve the competitiveness of the school and
    prepare graduates who are of high quality, a strategic plan in the form of a SWOT analysis is needed.
    SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) is a method designed to develop planning
    that will affect decisions or strategies to be implemented. The purpose of this research is to determine
    the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats as well as strategies that must be carried out by
    the school. In this research, the type of research used is qualitative research by presenting a descriptive
    research design. The data collection process was carried out using the techniques of interviewing,
    observing, and documentation at SMKN 1 Gabuswetan. From the results of the SWOT analysis, the
    results were in quadrant 1, which is SO (Strength Opportunity) so the step that must be taken is to
    support aggressive strategies. The description of this research is expected to be a reference for finding
    weaknesses and threats so that it can provide good solutions or strategies to overcome the problems.
