Abstract
Work stress is still a problem that often occurs right where we work, so that the existence of work stress must be realized by employees and companies or institutions so that they can find out what makes employees feel stressed because work stress can affect overall employee performance. Workload is a factor in employees experiencing work stress, because excessive workload is a source of stress at work and emotional exhaustion. Cibabat Cimahi Regional General Hospital is one of the institutions in the service sector that experiences work stress on nurses. This study aims to obtain (1) description of workload (2) description of working environment conditions (3) description of work stress levels (4) effect of workload on work stress levels (5) effect of work environment conditions on work stress levels (6) influence workload and work environment on work stress. The type of research used is descriptive verification with a quantitative approach. The sample technique used is a saturated sample of 64 nurses. The analysis technique used is path analysis with the help of computer software SPSS version 25.0. The results of the study can be seen that (1) the workload of nurses is high (2) the work environment is very conducive (3) the work stress of nurses is high (4) the workload has an influence on work stress (5) the work environment has an influence on work stress on nurses (6) workload and work environment have an influence on work stress. The results of testing the hypothesis can be seen that the workload and environment affect the work stress of nurses. Based on the results of the study, the authors recommend that health care institutions must be able to pay attention to workload through aspects of psychological pressure and pay attention to the work environment, especially on non-physical aspects of the work environment and pay attention to aspects of work pressure in order to reduce the level of work stress felt by nurses so as to optimize the goals of an institution. . It is expected to be able to contribute practically through input or suggestions in the business field regarding Workload, Work Environment, and Work Stress for nurses. The implication of work stress is that it can lead to high turnover.
