Abstract

Matematis: Reviu Sistematik dan Meta-Analisis.” Beberapa studi literatur terkait pengaruh Pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) pada pembelajaran matematika telah banyak dilakukan oleh beberapa peneliti. Namun, beberapa diantaranya, belum mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan STEM yang berfokus terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi, menguji, dan mengevaluasi pengaruh penerapan pendekatan STEM terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa serta menginvestigasi dan menguji beberapa faktor potensial yang diprediksi sebagai faktor penyebab heterogennya kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan menggunakan studi reviu sistematik dan meta-analisis. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah menggunakan data sekunder dengan metode reviu sistematik. Teknik Meta-analisis digunakan untuk menganalisis data dari 27 studi primer yang telah memenuhi kriteris inklusi dengan bantuan aplikasi Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Versi 3.0. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, pengaruh penerapan pendekatan STEM terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa lebih baik daripada model konvensional, dengan tingkat pengaruhnya berada pada kategori efek tinggi. Sementara itu, berdasarkan karakteristik studi yang diamati, ditemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh ditinjau dari ukuran sampel, demografi siswa, tahun studi, dan jenis integrasi STEM. Sedangkan, pengaruh penerapan pendekatan STEM terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik daripada model konvensional dengan tingkat pengaruhnya berada pada kategori efek tinggi. Sementara itu, berdasarkan karakteristik studi yang diamati, ditemukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh ditinjau dari jenjang pendidikan, demografi siswa dan jenis integrasi STEM. Dengan demikian, implementasi pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran matematika sangat disarankan karenga pengaruhnya yang tinggi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa Several literature studies related to the effect of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Approach on mathematics learning have been carried out by many researchers. However, some of them have not examined the effect of using a STEM approach that focuses on creative thinking skills and problem-solving in mathematics learning. This study aims to estimate, examine, and evaluate the effect of applying the STEM approach to students' mathematical creative thinking skills and mathematical problem solving as well as to investigate and test several potential factors that are predicted to be the causal factors of heterogeneity in students' creative thinking abilities and solve students' mathematical problems using a systematic review study and meta-analysis. The approach in this research is quantitative. The design of this study is to use secondary data with a systematic review method. Meta-analysis techniques were used to analyze data from 27 primary studies that met the inclusion criteria with the help of the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Version 3.0 application. The research findings show that overall, the effect of applying the STEM approach to students' mathematical creative thinking abilities is better than model conventions, with the level of influence being in the high effect category. Meanwhile, based on the observed study characteristics, it was found that there were differences in influence in terms of sample size, student demographics, year of study, and type of STEM integration. While the effect of applying the STEM approach to students' problem-solving skills is better than the conventional model with the level of influence being in the high effect category. Meanwhile, based on the observed characteristics of the study, it was found that there were differences in the influence of the review from the level of education, student demographics, and the type of STEM integration. Thus, the application of the STEM approach in learning mathematics is highly recommended because of its high impact on improving students' creative thinking skills and mathematical problem-solving.
