Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar mobile learning android menggunakan multi modus representasi berorientasi kemampuan kognitif dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa pada konsep teori kinetik gas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D) Brog and Gall. Penelitian ini melibatkan 42 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 22 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 20 siswa kelas kontrol di salah satu MA di Kabupaten Cirebon. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan kognitif, tes keterampilan pemeahan masalah, lembar uji keterpahaman wacana, angket kualitas bahan ajar, dan angket persepsi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji keterpahaman dan kualitas diperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 75% dengan kategori layak. Kemudian bahan ajar mobile learning android menggunakan multi modus representasi mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,30 dengan kategori sedang dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah dengan N-Gain sebesar 0,35 dengan kategori sedang. Hubungan korelasi antara kemampuan kognitif dengan keterampilan pemecahan masalah sebesar 0,467 dengan kategori hubungan korelasi moderat (cukup). Selanjutnya berdasarkan analisis statistik dan uji effect size diperoleh bahwa mobile learning android menggunakan multi modus representasi efektif digunakan jika dibandingkan dengan buku elektronik yang biasa digunakan di sekolah. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan persepsi siswa mengenai bahan ajar mobile learning yang dikembangkan dimana siswa setuju dengan penggunaan bahan ajar mobile learning. This study aims to develop android mobile learning teaching materials using multi-mode representation oriented to students' cognitive abilities and problem solving skills on the concept of gas kinetic theory. The research method used in this study is the Research and Development (R & D) Brog and Gall. This study involved 42 students who were divided into 22 experimental class students and 20 control class students in one of the MA in Cirebon Regency. The instruments used in this study were cognitive ability tests, problem solving skills tests, discourse comprehension test sheets, questionnaires on the quality of teaching materials, and student perceptions questionnaires. Based on the results of the understanding and quality test analysis, an average percentage of 75% was obtained with a decent category. Then android mobile learning teaching materials using multi-mode representation can improve cognitive abilities with N-Gain of 0.30 in the medium category and problem solving skills with N-Gain of 0.35 in the medium category. The correlation between cognitive abilities and problem solving skills is 0.467 with a moderate correlation category (enough). Furthermore, based on statistical analysis and effect size tests, it was found that android mobile learning using multi-mode representation was effectively used when compared to electronic books commonly used in schools. This is in line with students' perceptions of the developed mobile learning teaching materials where students agree with the use of mobile learning teaching materials.
