Abstract
ABSTRAK Kegiatan pembelajaran tidak hanya sebatas pada pemberian materi dan penugasan, namun di dalamnya juga harus menanamkan karakter. Keberhasilan sebuah pembelajaran ditentukan oleh karakter disiplin. Perilaku tidak disiplin sering ditemukan pada lingkungan sekolah, hal itu menunjukkan masih rendahnya kesadaran siswa terhadap kedisiplinan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut yaitu melalui penerapan hukuman. Sistem punishment point merupakan aturan untuk meningkatkan sikap disiplin siswa berupa pemberian poin dan hukuman sebagai konsekuensi bagi siswa sesuai dengan jenis pelanggaran yang dilakukannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi implementasi sistem punishment point sebagai bentuk peningkatan sikap disiplin siswa, menganalisis upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghadapi faktor penghambat implementasi sistem punishment point, dan menganalisis keterkaitan implementasi sistem punishment point sebagai bentuk peningkatan sikap disiplin siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Mande Cianjur. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) strategi implementasi sistem punishment point dilaksanakan secara bertahap, dan diarahkan kepada pembinaan serta tidak menyakiti secara fisik, (2) hambatan dalam implementasi sistem punishment point adalah kurangnya sosialisasi, upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan melakukan diskusi dalam setiap kesempatan untuk sosialisasi, (3) keterkaitan sistem punishment point dan pembelajaran IPS yakni sistem punishment point merupakan salah satu alat untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran IPS. Kata Kunci: Sistem Punishment Point, Disiplin, Pembelajaran IPS ABSTRACT Learning activities are not only limited to providing material and assignments, but they must also instill character. The success of a learning is determined by the character of the discipline. Undisciplined behavior is often found in the school environment, it shows that students' awareness of discipline is still low. One of the efforts to overcome these problems is through the application of punishment. The point punishment is a rule to improve student discipline in the form of giving points and punishments as a consequence for students according to the type of violation they have committed. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategy of implementing the point punishment as a form of increasing student discipline, analyzing efforts that can be made to deal with the inhibiting factors for the implementation of the point punishment, and analyze the relevance of the implementation of the punishment point as a form of increasing student discipline in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 1 Mande Cianjur. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the strategy for implementing the point punishment is carried out in stages, and is directed at coaching and does not hurt physically, (2) the obstacle in implementing the point punishment is the lack of socialization. in every opportunity for socialization, (3) the link between the punishment point and social studies learning, namely the punishment point is one of the tools to achieve social studies learning objectives.
