Abstract

Emas merupakan jenis logam mulia yang sangat berharga dan menjadi salah satu instrumen investasi. Harga emas yang fluktuatif, membuat pelaku investasi harus mengetahui pergerakan harga emas agar mengetahui kapan waktu yang tepat untuk menjual dan membeli agar mendapat keuntungan yang optimal. Salah satu cara yang dapat membantu mengetahui pergerakan harga emas yaitu peramalan. Peramalan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perbandingan tingkat akurasi metode average based dan automatic clustering. Untuk meningkatkan hasil keakuratan data, penelitian ini menggunakan metode average based hingga orde 5 dan metode automatic clustering hingga p=5. Kemudian tingkat akurasi diukur dengan mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). Metode average based orde 5 menghasilkan nilai MAPE sebesar 0,0328% dengan hasil peramalan harga emas bulan Juli 2022-Desember 2022 berada di kisaran Rp 982.323,00-RP 987.923,00 dengan harga terendah terjadi pada bulan Juli dan harga tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Agustus. Metode automatic clustering p=5 menghasilkan nilai MAPE sebesar 0,1133% dengan hasil peramalan sebesar Rp 989.710,00. Berdasarkan nilai MAPE yang diperoleh dapat dinyatakan bahwa metode terbaik adalah metode average based orde 5. Nilai MAPE yang dihasilkan tidak lebih dari 10% sehingga masuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi yang dilakukan untuk melakukan prediksi juga baik serta mampu memberikan informasi pendukung bagi investor untuk mengambil keputusan dalam berinvestasi pada emas. Gold is a type of precious metal that is very valuable and becomes one of the investment instruments. Fluctuating gold prices make investors need to know the movement of gold prices in order to know when is the right time to sell and buy in order to get optimal profits. One way that can help determine the movement of gold prices is forecasting. Forecasting used in this study is a comparison of the accuracy of the average-based and automatic clustering methods. To improve the results of data accuracy, this study uses the average-based method up to orde 5 and the automatic clustering method up to p=5. Then the level of accuracy is measured by the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The average-based orde 5 method produces a MAPE value of 0.0328% with the results of forecasting the price of gold in July 2022-December 2022 in the range of Rp 982,323.00-Rp 987,923.00 with the lowest price occurring in July and the highest price occurring in August. The automatic clustering p=5 method produces a MAPE value of 0.1133% with a forecasting result of Rp 989,710.00. Based on the MAPE value obtained, it can be stated that the best method is the average-based orde 5 method. The resulting MAPE value is not more than 10% so that it is included in the very good category. This indicates that the implementation carried out to make predictions is also good and able to provide supporting information for investors to make decisions in investing in gold.
