Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model supervisi akademik pembelajaran fisika di SMA (SAPFS). Model diharapkan dapat bermanfaat untuk membimbing guru fisika guna meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran fisika. Produk utama pengembangan model supervisi akademik pembelajaran fisika ini adalah program supervisi akademik pembelajaran fisika berbasis kelompok. Model mempunyai karakteristik khusus, yaitu: 1) Merupakan supervisi kelompok guru fisika di satu sekolah; 2) Jumlah guru fisika di satu sekolah minimal berjumlah tiga orang; 3) Supervisi akademik ini berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk membina kompetensi guru fisika SMA, terutama pada kemampuan menggunakan strategi inkuiri; 4) Supervisi akademik ini berfungsi sebagai sarana untuk mengembangkan profesi guru fisika SMA secara berkelanjutan (PKB); 5) Supervisi dilaksanakan dengan prinsip kolegalitas; 6) supervisor berperan sebagai moderator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan model 4D, yaitu define, design, develop and disseminate. Program SAPFS dirancang berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan, selanjutnya divalidasi oleh ahli dan diuji coba terbatas yang dilaksanakan pada dua SMA dengan desain kualitatif. Uji efektifitas menggunakan desain eksperimen non-equivalen control groups pretest-posttest yang dilaksanakan pada tiga kota di Jawa Tengah, yaitu Tegal, Pekalongan dan Semarang. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah model supervisi akademik pembelajaran fisika yang dilaksanakan dengan perlakuan khusus tidak lebih efektif apabila dibandingkan dengan pelaksanaan pada dua kota yang lain tetapi masih menggunakan model ini, walaupun sebenarnya cukup efektif untuk mencapai tujuan program. Keunggulan model yang muncul antara lain: 1) efektifitas waktu untuk melakukan supervisi akademik pada sekolah yang mempunyai jumlah guru banyak; 2) dialog profesional dapat muncul sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru mata pelajaran; 3) kelemahan supervisor terhadap penguasaan mata pelajaran fisika dapat diatasi; 4) tumbuhnya suasana kerja kolegalitas; 5) mengurangi tingkat kompetisi dalam satu guru mata pelajaran. Kekurangan yang muncul apabila menggunakan model ini antara lain: 1) model tidak berfungsi jika diterapkan pada sekolah yang jumlah gurunya sedikit; dan 2) kurang mampu mengamati kemajuan kompetensi guru secara perorangan. ABSTRACT This research aims to develop an academic supervision model of science class in senior high school (SAPFS). This model is expected to be used for guiding science teachers in group in order to improve science teaching. The one of main products of this model is academic supervision model based on inquiry. This model has certain special characteristics such as: 1) having group supervision of science teacher in one school; 2) the number of science teachers in one school is three people; 3) academic supervision pattern is developed based on inquiry strategy; 4) this academic supervision serve as a mean to improve the professionalism of science teachers (CPD); 5) the supervision is held by using collectiveness principle; 6) supervisor acts as a moderator. The research method which is used is research and development of 4D model covering three step: define, design, develop and dissemine. This SAPFS is designed based on the introduction study, then validated by professional and tested in two SMA by using qualitative design. This test in effectiveness uses experiment design of non-equivalent control group’s pretest-post test which is held in three cities in Central Java, which are Tegal, Pekalongan and Semarang with six supervisors and six schools. The conclusion of this research are the effectiveness of academic supervision of physics for physics teachers the result is not significantly different in three cities, but it can make the effectiveness for physics teachers attittude. It proves that the model developed by researcher is as effective as existing model. The advantages of this model are: 1) it is more effective for the school which have enough teacher because one cycle of supervision is used to do academic supervision in a subject; 2) the comprehension of the material is deeper and match with the teachers’ need; 3) it can overcome the lack of supervisor in mastering science; 4) it improves the working atmosphere of work between colleague; 5) it reduces the competition of teachers of the same subject. The disadvantages of this model are: 1) this model is not working if it is applied in the school with few teachers; and 2) it can’t monitor the improvement of teachers individually because the collectiveness which lessens the competition.
