Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penerapan metode hypnoteaching guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung. Metode hypnoteacing merupakan bagian dari penerapan ilmu hipnotis yang dapat membawa siswa ke suasana relaksasi dalam menerima materi pelajaran. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif, metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitaif dengan tahapan reduksi data, display data dan penyimpulan/verifikasi . Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIIB di SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung cukup baik karena guru menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang menarik minat belajar siswa dan membuat siswa mudah memahami materi pelajaran. (2) langkah-langkah metode hypnoteaching yang diterapkan diantaranya yaitu dimulai dari niat dan motivasi dalam diri, pacing, leading, menggunakan kata positif, pemberian pujian atau rewards, dan diakhiri modeling. (3) motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII B meningkat ditunjukkan dengan siswa aktif dan antusias sehingga siswa mudah memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran IPS. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mampu melaksanakan metode hypnotaching dengan sangat baik pada pembelajaran IPS guna meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung. This study aims to find out and analyze the application of hypnoteaching methods to increase students learning motivation in social studies learning in class VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung. The hypnoteacing method is part of the application of hypnotic science that can bring students to a relaxed atmosphere in receiving lesson materials. The approach used is the qualitative approach, a descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative data analysis with data reduction stages, data display, and data collection/ verification. The results obtained in this study are (1) the motivation of learning students of grade VIIB at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung is quite good because teachers use learning methods that interest students' learning and make students easily understand the subject matter. (2) hypnoteaching method measures applied include starting from intention and motivation in self, pacing, leading, using positive words, giving praise or rewards, and ending modeling. (3) the motivation of learning of grade VIII B students is increased indicated by active and enthusiastic students so that students easily understand the material delivered by teachers in social studies learning. On the whole, the resultant teachers can implement hypnoteaching methods very well in social studies learning to increase students' learning motivation in class VIII B of SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung.
