Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kesenian Ebeg Grup Mugi Budoyo yang merupakan kesenian khas dari daerah Karang jambu, Kecamatan Cipari, Kabupaten Cilacap. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kesenian Ebeg Grup Mugi Budoyo yang merupakan keseniah tradisional dari Kabupaten Cilacap. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian etnokoreologi sebagai landasan teori yang disandingkan dengan konsep koreografi dan komposisi untuk menganalisi gerak serta perubahan gerak. Desain penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskripstif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan informasi pada riset ini dicoba dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil riset secara umum Pertunjukan kesenian Ebeg Grup Mugi Budoyo urutannya tidak selalu sama, dikarenakan jangka waktu atau durasi yang berbeda dan acara yang ditunjukan berbeda. Seni Ebeg grup Mugi Budoyo telah dikomersilkan, sehingga tiap pementasan terkait pada kondisi serta cuaca setempat, dan permohonan dari penggelar acara ataupun kegiatan. Secara keseluruhan struktur pertunjukan Ebeg Grup Mugi Budoyo yaitu: pembukaan, inti dan penutup. Agar kesenian Ebeg terhindar dari kepunahan, maka harus ada regenerasi pemain kesenian Ebeg, mulai dari penari, penayagan, dan pawing yang sudah berusia lanjut.

ABSTRACT

This study discusses the art of Ebeg Group Mugi Budoyo which is a typical art from Karang Jambu area, Cipari District, Cilacap Regency. The purpose of this study is to describe the Ebeg art of Mugi Budoyo Group which is a traditional art from Cilacap Regency. This study uses ethnochoreology as a theoretical basis that is juxtaposed with the concepts of choreography and composition to analyze motion and changes in motion. The research design used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The collecting information in this research conducted by having observations, interviews, documentations, and literatures study. The results of the research in general were the Ebeg performances of Mugi Budoyo Group were not always in the same order, due to the different time periods or durations and the different events shown. The Ebeg art of Mugi Budoyo group had been commercialized, so each performance was related to local conditions, weathers, and requests from event organizers or activities. The overall structure of Ebeg Group Mugi Budoyo performance was: opening, core and closing. In order for Ebeg art to avoid extinction, there should be a regeneration of Ebeg art performers, starting from dancers, performers, and pawing who were elderly.
