Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi Think Talk Write dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menyusun struktur kalimat bahasa indonesia pada anak tunarungu. Sebagai dampak dari ketunarunguannya, anak mengalami keterbatasan dalam bahasa dan komunikasi, khususnya kemampuan menyusun struktur kalimat yang rendah. Strategi tersebut menstimulus anak tunarungu untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuannya dalam menguasai struktur kalimat bahasa indonesia terutama pada unsur kalimat Subjek, Predikat, Objek dan Keterangan (SPOK), karena menerapkan 3 proses penting yaitu proses think (berpikir/menyimak), talk (berbicara), dan write (menulis). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tulis. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 7 orang anak tunarungu kelas XI SMALB di SLBN Cicendo Kota Bandung. Temuan penelitian berdasarkan hasil perbandingan skor pre-test dan post-test menunjukan peningkatan dari post-test lebih tinggi pada tiap aspek yaitu pada aspek think, talk, dan write, serta terdapat peningkatan skor setelah diberikan treatment. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan ketujuh subjek mampu memilih kata-kata acak lalu menyusun kata-kata menjadi struktur kalimat dengan pola kalimat SPOK, menjawab pertanyaan dan membuat kalimat sesuai dengan unsur kalimat SPOK. Sehingga strategi think talk write dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyusun struktur kalimat bahasa indonesia pada anak tunarungu kelas XI SMALB di SLBN Cicendo Kota Bandung. This study aims to see whether the "think talk writes" method improves deaf children's capacity to compose Indonesian language sentence structures. Children are limited to language and communication skills due to their submission, particularly their capacity to construct simple sentence structures. The strategy stimulates deaf children to optimize their ability to master the structure of Indonesian language sentences. Especially in the elements of sentences such as Subject, Predicate, Object, and Description (SPOK), because it applies three essential processes, namely the "think" process (thinking/listening), the "talk" process (speaking), and the "write" process (writing). The research method used was an experimental method using the design of one group pretest-posttest. The data collection technique used was a writing test. This study was conducted on seven deaf children in class XI SMALB at SLBN Cicendo Bandung. The study's findings based on the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores showed an increase in post-test scores was higher in each aspect, namely in the elements of think-talk-write, and there was an increase in scores after being given treatment. This evidence showed that the seven subjects being able to choose random words and then arrange the words into a sentence structure with the SPOK sentence pattern, answer questions and make sentences according to the SPOK sentence elements. So that the think talk write strategy can improve the ability to compose Indonesian sentence structures for deaf children in class XI SMALB at SLBN Cicendo Kota Bandung.
