Abstract

ABSTRAK
Dalam perkembangan teori konflik kognitif, ditemukan tiga model tentang bagaimana konflik muncul dalam kognisi siswa. Ketiga model tersebut adalah model konflik kognitif Piaget, model konflik kognitif Hasweh, dan model konflik kognitif Kwon. Perbedaan ketiganya terletak pada objek yang memicu terjadinya ketidakseimbangan dalam struktur kognisi seseorang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran dengan strategi konflik kognitif Piaget atau Hasweh terhadap kualitas peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lembang, memanfaatkan pre-test dan post-test dalam Desain Kelompok Non-Ekuivalen. Diperoleh dua kesimpulan. Pertama, kualitas peningkatan berpikir kreatif siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan strategi konflik kognitif Piaget ataupun Hasweh berada pada kategori sedang. Kedua, disimpulkan bahwa tidak ditemukan perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif menggunakan kedua strategi tadi.

ABSTRACT
In the development of cognitive conflict theory, three models of how conflict arises in student cognition are found. All three models are Piaget cognitive conflict model, Hasweh’s model, and Kwon’s model. The difference lies in object that trigger an imbalance in the structure of student's cognition . This study aims to determine the effect of learning with Piaget or Hasweh cognitive conflict strategy to improvement of students' creative thinking ability . The subject is eight grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Lembang, utilizing pre-test and post-test in the Non-Equivalent-Group Design. Two finding are obtained. First, the quality improvement of creative thinking of students who get learning using Piaget or Hasweh cognitive conflict strategy are in the middle category . Secondly, it was concluded that there were no differences in the increase in the ability to think creatively use both strategies.
