Abstract

Literasi kesehatan sangat penting untuk mengoptimalkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengakses, memproses, memahami dan menerapkan informasi kesehatan dari berbagai media. Informasi kesehatan tidak dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik jika tidak didukung oleh pengetahuan dan kemampuan literasi yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan literasi kesehatan siswa dengan penerapan bahan ajar berbasis penyakit tropis dalam pembelajaran virus. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pre-experimental dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 74 orang siswa SMA kelas X MIA yang dipilih secara convenience sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitiaan ini antara lain soal tes penguasaan konsep, soal tes literasi kesehatan dan angket respons siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan penguasaan konsep dengan nilai gain 25.34 berada dalam kategori sedang dan terdapat peningkatan literasi kesehatan dengan gain 17.98 berada dalam kategori sedang. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis penyakit tropis berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan literasi kesehatan siswa. Selain itu, hasil analisis juga menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang kuat antara penguasaan konsep dan literasi kesehatan dengan nilai korelasi Spearman 0.636. Respons siswa terhadap bahan ajar berbasis penyakit tropis menunjukan hasil yang sangat baik dengan persentase rata-rata 80.83%. Health literacy is very important to optimize the ability of people to access, process, understand, and apply health information from various media. Health information cannot be utilized properly if it is not supported by good literacy skills. The purpose of this study was to measure the increase of students' mastery on concepts and health literacy by implementation of tropical disease-based teaching materials in virus. The research method used in this study was a pre-experimental research design with one group pretest-posttest design. The number of this study was 74 high school students in class X MIA which were selected by convenience sampling. The instruments used in this study consist questions for mastery of concepts test, questions on health literacy tests, and questionnaires on student responses to teaching materials. The results showed that there was an increase in mastery of concepts with a gain value of 25.34 in the medium category and there was an increase in health literacy with a gain of 17.98 in the medium category. In addition, the results of the analysis also show that there is a strong positive relationship between conceptual mastery and health literacy with a Spearman correlation value of 0.636. Student responses to tropical disease-based teaching materials showed very good results with an average percentage of 80.83%. The conclussion of this study is tropical disease-based teaching materials have a significant effect on increasing students' mastery of concepts and health literacy
