Abstract
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik restrukturisasi kognitif untuk meningkatkan harga diri peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data menggunakan pra-eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu instrumen harga diri. Subjek penelitian berdasarkan temuan empirik harga diri pada peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 23 Bandung tahun ajaran 2013/2014 berada pada kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peserta didik yang memiliki harga diri pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 35 orang (16,1%), pada kategori sedang sebanyak 145 orang (66,8%), dan pada kategori rendah sebanyak 37 orang (17,1%). Teknik restrukturisasi kognitif efektif untuk meningkatkan harga diri peserta didik. Uji hipotesis menunjukan semua aspek harga diri peserta didik yang terbentuk dari aspek kognitif, emosi, dan perilaku mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah mendapatkan intervensi konseling kelompok dengan teknik restrukturisasi kognitif. Rekomendasi penelitian ditunjukan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling, Jurusan Psikologi Pendidikan dan Bimbingan, dan peneliti selanjutnya. Kata Kunci : Harga diri, teknik restrukturisasi kognitif, peserta didik. The purpose of the experiment is to find out the technique of cognitive restructuring to increase self esteem of the students. The method used to collect data is pre-experiment one group pretest-posttest design. Used instrument self esteem for the experiment. Subject experiment is done based on empirical find of self esteem the students class XI of state senior high school 23 Bandung 2013/2014 it shows that they are on the low category. Result experiment it that shows the students have self esteem on the high category as many 35 people (16,1%), on the medium category as many 145 people (66,8%), and on the low category as many 37 people (17,1%). The technique of cognitive restructuring effective to increase self esteem of the students. Hypothesis experiment shows all aspects of self esteem of the students that are formed by cognitive aspect, emotion, and attitude have significant increase after having an intervention of group counselling using the technique of cognitive restructuring. The recommendation of experiment is showed to the counsellor, the major of education and guidance psychology, and the next researcher.
