Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian bertujuan menghasilkan kajian empiris efektivitas teknik symbolic modeling untuk mengembangkan personal safety skills peserta didik SDN KPAD Geger Kalong Hilir Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi dan desain penelitian Non Equivalen Control Group Design. Teknik sampling menggunakan Purposive Sampling yang berupa homogeneous sampling dan analisis data menggunakan rerata dan metoda statistika. Penelitian ini menghasilkan: 1) profil personal safety skills peserta didik, 2) proses pelaksanaan teknik symbolic modeling dan 4) gambaran keefektifan teknik symbolic modeling untuk mengembangkan personal safety skills peserta didik. Kata kunci: Symbolic modeling, Personal safety skills, Perkembangan anak usia Sekolah Dasar ABSTRACT : This research aimed to produce an effective symbolic modeling technique to develope student’s personal safety skills of 5th Grade Student in KPAD Elementary School academic years 2013/2014. Quantitative approach and quasi experiment methods with non equivalen control group design were used in this research. Research’s subject was taken by using purposive sampling techniques with homogeneous sampling then, the research data was analyzed using the average and statistical technique. The research’s results consist of : 1) profiles of student’s personal safety skills; 2) process of realization of symbolic modeling technique and 3) effectiveness description of symbolic modeling technique to develope student’s personal safety skills of 5th Grade Student in KPAD Elementary School academic years 2013/2014 Keywords: Symbolic modeling, Personal safety skills , Development of elementary students’
