Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keterampilan komunikasi sebagai sarana dalam melakukan kegiatan diskusi dan kolaborasi sebagai keterampilan dalam melakukan kerja sama terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa melalui flipped classroom pada materi sistem ekskresi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan non-equivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian ialah siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA, terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 30 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tes penguasaan konsep dalam bentuk pilihan ganda, tes keterampilan komunikasi tulis dalam bentuk essay, non tes keterampilan kolaborasi dalam bentuk kuesioner dan angket respon siswa terhadap flipped classroom. Pre-test diberikan kepada kelas eksperimen maupun kontrol sebelum pembelajaran dimulai, sementara post-test diberikan saat pertemuan terakhir. Berdasarkan temuan yang didapat, pembelajaran dengan flipped classroom dapat mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi khususnya pada indikator mengartikulasikan pendapat dan ide secara efektif, kolaborasi khususnya pada indikator menghargai anggota tim, serta penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sistem ekskresi ginajal manusia. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan antara keterampilan komunikasi dengan penguasaan konsep siswa (Eksperimen : sig. 0,013; Kontrol : sig. 0,001). Akan tetapi, tidak terdapat hubungan antara keterampilan kolaborasi dengan penguasaan konsep siswa (Eksperimen : sig. 0,051; kontrol : sig. 0,334) walaupun dari hasil pembelajaran terlihat adanya perkembangan keterampilan kolaborasi yang baik. Hasil angket respon siswa menunjukkan seluruh siswa merasakan manfaat dari pembelajaran dengan menggunakan flipped classroom. This research uses non-equivalent control group design. The sample within this research are 2nd grade Senior High School consist of 30 students from experiment class and 30 students from control class. The instrument used in this research are conceptual mastery written test in the form of multiple choice, written communication skills test in the form of essay, non-test questionnaire for collaboration skills and students responds toward flipped classroom in the form of questionnaire. There are six indicator for communication skills and three indicator for collaboration skills. The pre-test was given to the experiment and control class before the class started, meanwhile the post-test was given at the end of meeting. Based on the result, when using flipped classroom students can develop their communication skills especially students are able to articulate their opinion and idea effectively, collaboration skills especially students are able to respect the team member and also conceptual mastery. Also, there are corelation between communication skills with student conceptual mastery (Experiment: Sig 0,013; Control: Sig 0,001). Howerever no correlation found between collaboration skills with conceptual mastery (Experiment: Sig 0,051; Control: 0,034) eventhough from the learning outcomes, it can be seen that there is good development of student collaboration skills. The student respond questionnaire shows all of the student feel the benefit of using flipped classroom when learning.
