Abstract
Keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi ilmiah merupakan dua keterampilan yang harus dimiliki dan dibekalkan pada peserta didik untuk menghadapi tantangan abad 21. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran ICARE dalam membekalkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan keterampilan komunikasi ilmiah peserta didik pada materi alat-alat optik, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian mixed methods dengan desain embedded experimental model. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri dari soal keterampilan berpikir kreatif yang sudah valid dan reliabel, lembar observasi, rubrik penilaian keterampilan komunikasi ilmiah, skala sikap peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran, angket terbuka dan pedoman wawancara. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 24 peserta didik di salah satu SMA di Bandung. Teknik analisis data digunakan N-gain, effect size, analisis dokumen pre-post, analisis komunikasi ilmiah, analisis kegiatan pembelajaran, analisis angket terbuka dan analisis hasil wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran ICARE efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan nilai N-Gain 0,44 berada pada kategori sedang dan memberikan efek sangat besar dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebesar 3,14 serta terjadi peningkatan pada setiap pertemuannya untuk keterampilan komunikasi ilmiah aspek information representation dan aspek scientific writing. Creative thinking skills and scientific communication are two skills that must be possessed and provided to students to face the challenges of the 21st century. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the ICARE learning model in equipping students with creative thinking skills and scientific communication skills on optical instruments, by using mixed methods research with embedded experimental model design. The instruments used in this study consisted of valid and reliable creative thinking skills, observation sheets, rubrics for assessing scientific communication skills, students' attitude scales towards learning, open questionnaires and interview guidelines. Participants in this study were 24 students in one high school in Bandung. Data analysis techniques used N-gain, effect size, pre-post document analysis, scientific communication analysis, analysis of learning activities, open questionnaire analysis and analysis of interview results. Based on the results of the analysis, the research shows that the ICARE learning model is effective in improving creative thinking skills with an N-Gain value of 0.44 in the medium category and has a very large effect in improving creative thinking skills by 3.14 and there is an increase in each meeting for skills. scientific communication aspects of information representation and scientific writing aspects.
