Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas pembelajaran jarak
jauh yang dengan Platform Whatsapp dan Platform Google Classroom terhadap hasil belajar
siswa saat pandemi Covid-19 pada mata pelajaran gambar teknik di SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex-pot facto. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X kompetensi
keahlian Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan (DPIB) di SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan
dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan
metode kuesioner dengan skala likert untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas pembelajaran
jarak jauh dan menggunakan metode dokumentasi berupa nilai rapor siswa pada Kompetensi
Dasar 3 (Pengetahuan) dan Kompetensi Dasar 4 (Keterampilan) tentang Simbol, Notasi dan
Dimensi. Validitas instrumen penelitian menggunakan validitas konstruk, peneliti
menggunakan uji statistik dengan rumus product moment correlation. Untuk pengujian
reliabilitas instrumennya menggunakan rumus Chronbach Alpha. Teknik analisis data yang
digunakan untuk menganalisis data hasil penelitian adalah statistik deskriptif dan uji
independent t-test.
Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner perbandingan efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan
platform Whatsapp dan Google Classroom menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan
efektivitas pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan platform
Whatsapp dan pembelajaran jarak jauh yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan platform
Google Classroom pada mata pelajaran Gambar Teknik kelas X Desain Pemodelan dan
Informasi Bangunan (DPIB) SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan. Jika diukur berdasarkan hasil belajar
siswa menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan platform Whatsapp mendapatkan nilai
rata-rata sebesar 69,9 dan hasil belajar siswa dengan platform Google Classroom mendapatkan
nilai rata-rata sebesar 78,1. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan
platform Whatsapp dan platform Google Classroom memiliki tingakat efektivitas yang sama
terhadap hasil belajar siswa saat pandemi covid-19.

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of distance learning using the Whatsapp
Platform and Google Classroom Platform on student learning outcomes during the Covid-19
pandemic in technical drawing subjects at SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan. This type of research is
ex-post facto. The sample of this research was the students of class X with the competence of
Building Modeling and Information Design (DPIB) at SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan using
purposive sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire method with a
Likert scale to compare the effectiveness of distance learning and uses the documentation
method in the form of student report cards in Basic Competence 3 (Knowledge) and Basic
Competence 4 (Skills) about Symbols, Notations and Dimensions. The validity of the research
instrument uses construct validity, the researcher uses a statistical test with the product moment
correlation formula. To test the reliability of the instrument using the Chronbach Alpha
formula. The data analysis technique used to analyze the research data is descriptive statistics
and independent t-test.
Based on the results of the questionnaire comparison of the effectiveness of distance
learning with the Whatsapp and Google Classroom platforms, it shows that there is no
difference in the effectiveness of distance learning that is carried out using the Whatsapp
platform and distance learning that is carried out using the Google Classroom platform in the
subjects of Engineering Drawing class X Modeling Design and Building Information (DPIB)
of SMK Negeri 1 Balikpapan. If measured based on student learning outcomes, it shows that
student learning outcomes with the Whatsapp platform get an average score of 69.9 and student
learning outcomes with the Google Classroom platform get an average score of 78.1. So it can
be said that distance learning with the Whatsapp platform and the Google Classroom platform
has the same level of effectiveness on student learning outcomes during the covid-19 pandemic.
