Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara variabel self-efficacy dengan coping strategy karyawan. Hal yang diharapkan adalah mengetahui derajat hubungan antara variabel self-efficacy terhadap variabel coping strategy. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia dengan sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik kuota sampling. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini 35 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan mengggunakan teknik korelasi dari Rank Spearman. dilakukan guna membuktikan adanya hubungan antara variabel bebas yaitu self-efficacy dengan variabel terikat yaitu coping strategy. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat self-efficacy karyawan disusun berdasarkan teori Bandura, dengan dimensi yang dikaji meliputi level, strength, dan generality. Reliabilitas instrumen self-efficacy : 0.962. sedangkan untuk mengukur pemilihan coping strategy karyawan menggunakan WCQ revised dari Lazarus &Folkman yang telah dimodifikasi, dengan derajat reliabilitas 0,915. Hasil penelitian menunjukan koefisien korelasi antara self-efficacy dengan problem focused coping sebesar 0,06. Sedangkan koefisien korelasi antara self-efficacy dengan emotion focused coping sebesar -0,029. Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa self-efficacy tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan coping strategy.;--This study aims to determine the correlation between self-efficacy variables with the employee coping strategy. It is expected to know the degree of correlation between self-efficacy variables to variable coping strategy. The research was conducted at PT. Industri Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) with the study sample is selected using a quota sampling technique. The number of samples in this study 35 people. Analytical techniques used is technique of Rank Spearman correlation. conducted to prove the correlation between the independent variables, namely self-efficacy with the dependent variable is coping strategy. The instrument used to measure levels of employee self-efficacy based on Bandura's theory, with dimensions that were examined include the level, strength, and generality. Reliability of the instrument of self-efficacy: 0.962. while to measure employees coping strategy using the WCQ revised from Lazarus & Folkman that have been modified, with the degree of reliability of 0.915. The results showed a correlation coefficient between self-efficacy with problem focused coping is 0.06. While the correlation coefficient between self-efficacy with emotion focused coping at -0.029. These results indicate that self-efficacy did not have a significant relationship with coping strategy.
