Abstract

Pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Dasar khususnya materi Bilangan Bulat dianggap pelajaran yang relatif sulit karena tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep bilangan bulat masih rendah. Hal tersebut dikarenakan materi yang diajarkan tidak berusaha dihubungkan dengan “konteks” dimana pembelajaran berlangsung, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi kurang bermakna. Demikian pula cara guru melaksanakan pembelajaran hanya menggunakan metode ceramah yang tidak sesuai dengan tahap berpikir siswa yang masih konkret. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Matematika dengan materi Bilangan Bulat melalui penerapan Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) di kelas IV-C SDN Utama Mandiri 1 Kota Cimahi dengan jumlah siswa 29 orang. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari tiga siklus dengan dua kali pertemuan dalam tiap siklusnya disertai instrumen penelitian berupa tes, format observasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika materi bilangan bulat setelah dilaksanakannya pembelajaran melalui Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Terjadi peningkatan nilai kognitif siswa dari siklus I-III, yaitu pada siklus 1 ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 65,52%, siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu menjadi 79,31%, dan pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan lagi yaitu mencapai 89,65%. Maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika materi Bilangan Bulat. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi guru dalam memperluas pengetahuan dan wawasan dalam rangka pengembangan ilmu dan memecahkan masalah nyata di lapangan. That is because the material being taught is not trying to be connected with the "context" which learning takes, so that learning becomes less meaningful. Similarly, learning how teachers implement just use the lecture method is not appropriate to the stage of thinking students are still concrete. Classroom action research aims is to improve student learning outcomes in mathematic’s to the material through the application of Integer Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach in class IV-C SDN Mandiri 1 Cimahi with twenty nine of the students. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of three cycles with two meetings in each cycle with a test instrument of research, observation formats, and questionnaires. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in mathematic’s learning materials of integers after the application of the learning approach through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). An increase in the value of the student's cognitive cycle I-III, which is in cycle 1 mastery of student learning outcomes at 65.52%, the second cycle has risen to 79.31%, and the third cycle has increased again, reaching 89.65%. It could be concluded that the approach is Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning materials Integer. The result is expected to be useful for teachers to expand their knowledge and insight in the development of science and solving real problems in the field.
