Abstract

Kata kunci: self-efficacy, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis ABSTRACK This study aims to analyze the effect of self-efficacy on the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This research uses a quantitative study with a descriptive-correlational method. The population of this study was all students of class VIII Junior High School in Bandung. The sample in the study was chosen as many as 60 students. The data obtained are the results of the mathematical critical thinking skills test instrument and self-efficacy statement instruments through the google form media. The results of this study indicate the great influence of self-efficacy on the dimension of magnitude on the mathematical critical thinking skills of students of Junior High School in Bandung is 11.70%. The magnitude of the influence of self-efficacy on the dimensions of strength on the mathematical critical thinking skills of students of Junior High School in Bandung is 5.05%. The magnitude of the influence of self-efficacy on the dimensions of generality on the mathematical critical thinking skills of students of Junior High School in Bandung is 6.81%. Overall, the influence of Self-Efficacy on Students' Mathematical Thinking Ability at Junior High School in Bandung is 23.56%. This research can be a reference for educators or policymakers in the field of education to pay more attention to the affective domain, in this case self-efficacy when carrying out mathematics learning activities, to increase the achievement of more optimal mathematics learning outcomes.
