Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah terdapat pengaruh background pelatih terhadap prestasi atlet di kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain korelasional antara variabel- variabelnya. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 26 orang pelatih yang aktif melatih di klub nya masing-masing. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling purposive karena setiap anggota dalam populasi memiliki pertimbangan tertentu. Instrumen yang digunakan adaptasi dari kuesioner bulutangkis Nizar Khoirul Umam 2013 . Analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample t-Test untuk menguji pengaruh background pelatih terhadap prestasi atlet bulutangkis di kota Bandung. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh terhadap prestasi atlet bulutangkis di kota Bandung. Dari hasil temuan keseluruhan menunjukan adanya pengaruh terhadap prestasi atlet bulutangkis di kota Bandung. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini masih perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai pengaruh background pelatih terhadap prestasi atlet di kota Bandung. This study aims to examine whether there is a background influence on the achievement of coaches athletes in the city of Bandung. The method used in this research is analytic descriptive with a qualitative approach. The design used in this study is the correlational design between the variables. The sample in the study were 26 coaches who actively train at their respective clubs. The sampling technique uses sampling purposive. The instrument used was an adaptation of the 2013 Nizar Khoirul Umam badminton questionnaire. Data analysis used Paired Sample t-Test to test the effect of coach background on the achievements of badminton athletes in the city of Bandung. The results of data analysis showed that there was no influence on the achievements of badminton athletes in the city of Bandung. From the overall findings show an influence on the achievements of badminton athletes in the city of Bandung. Recommendations from this study still need further research on the influence of coach background on athlete achievement in the city of Bandung.
