Abstract

Tatal merupakan sampah dari proses permesinan yang telah dilakukan, biasanya berbahan besi dan alumunium. Tatal tersebut biasanya tidak teratur dan tidak rapi. Alat press tatal adalah sebuah mesin/alat yang bertujuan membentuk sampah tatal menjadi bergeometri kubus dengan tujuan agar tatal tidak berserakan dan lebih mudah dalam pengolahan selanjutnya, yang membuat proses produksi pada suatu workshop menjadi lebih lancar dan tidak terganggu oleh tatal-tatal bekas produksi Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini yaitu membahas tentang pembuatan komponen alat press tatal berupa rangka utama alat tersebut, ditujukan untuk menopang seluruh komponen yang ada pada alat press tatal. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan rangka utama alat press tatal ini meliputi 1) Identifikasi gambar kerja 2) Pemilihan alat dan bahan 3) Melakukan langkahlangkah proses manufaktur/pembuatan 4) Uji coba kinerja rangka. Bahan utama dari komponen ini adalah baja profil siku ukuran 40x40x3 dan baja profil U ukuran 35x50x3. Pembuatan rangka utama alat press tatal ini meliputi proses : pengelasan, pengeboran, dan pengecatan. Dalam uji dimensi rangka, didapatkan sedikit perbedaan dimensi dari gambar kerja awal. Pengujian kinerja pada rangka utama alat press tatal didapatkan hasil bahwa rangka mampu menahan komponenkomponen lainnya dan dapat menahan gaya tekan yang diberikan dengan cukup baik. Biaya keselurhan dalam pembuatan rangka utama alat press tatal ini adalah sebesar ±Rp479.980,563 Iron Scrap is a waste from the machining process that has been done, usually made of iron and aluminum. These arrangements are usually disorganized and untidy. The "iron scrap press tool" is a machine / tool that aims to form the iron scrap waste to be form as a geometric cube in order to avoid scattering and more easy in further processing, which makes the production process at a the workshop becomes smoother and is not disturbed by the arrangement of former production The purpose of this thesis is to discuss the making the component of the tatal press is the main frame of the tool, intended for supports all existing components on the tatal press. Method which is used in making the main frame of this tatal press includes 1) Identification of working drawings 2) Selection of tools and materials 3) Carry out the steps of the manufacturing / manufacturing process 4) Test the performance of the frame. The main materials of these components are 40x40x3 size elbow profile steel and size U profile steel 35x50x3. The main proccess frame of this "iron scrap press tool" includes processes: welding, drilling, and painting. In the frame dimension test, a little difference was found in dimensions from the initial working drawing. Performance testing on the main frame Iron Scrap press tool shows that the frame is able to withstand other components and can withstand the applied compressive force sufficiently with a good performance. the total amount of cost in proccess of making the "iron scrap press tool" is Idr. 479.980.563
