Abstract

Salah satu aspek yang perlu tumbuh dan dikembangkan sejak kecil adalah aspek sosial. Keterampilan sosial mendorong kemudahan berkomunikasi dalam interaksi sosial dengan lingkungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan sosial siswa, berdasarkan latar belakang sekolah serta dihasilkannya Program Bimbingan Pribadi Sosial dalam mengembangkan keterampilan social anak di SD kelas rendah. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu SD di Padalarang Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode studi deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan data penelitian adalah observasi, wawancara dan angket bagi wali kelas untuk mengungkap indikator-indikator keterampilan sosial melalui kategori keterampilan sosial yang nampak pada siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas I, II dan III Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel acak (random sampling). Adapun hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan sosial siswa SD Padalarang 60,27% berada pada kategori baik, 39,73% berada pada kategori cukup, dan 0% berada pada kategori kurang. Potret Layanan bimbingan yang dilakukan oleh guru, sudah cukup baik dalam membimbing dan mengembangkan potensi dan aspek perkembangan anak, khususnya dalam keterampilan sosial. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Sosial, Bimbingan Pribadi Sosial, SD ABSTRACT PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ SOCIAL SKILL SEEN FROM TEACHERS’ PERCEPTION AND ITS IMPLICATION ON GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SERVICES (A descriptive study conducted at SD Padalarang Bandung Barat in 2019/2020 Academic Year) Author: ANANDA PUTRI OKTAVIANI One of the aspects that need to be grown and developed since childhood is social aspect. Social skills encourage the ease of communication in social interactions with the environment. The purpose of this study is to investigate students' social skills profile based on school background and the creation of the Personal Social Guidance Program in developing children's social skills in lower grade primary schools students. The study was conducted at one of the primary schools in Padalarang, West Bandung. This study employed a quantitative approach using a descriptive method. The instruments used to obtain the research data were observation, interviews, and questionnaires for homeroom teachers to discover indicators of social skills through categories of social skills that appear in the students. The population of this study was all students in grades I, II, and III of the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This study employed a random sampling technique. The results of the study showed that the social skills of SD Padalarang students were as follows: 60.27% were in good category, 39.73% were in sufficient category, and 0% was in the poor category. Guidance services conducted by the teachers were considered good enough in guiding and developing the potential and aspects of children's development, especially in social skills.
