Abstract
Fenomena masalah perilaku altrusime pada anak-anak ditunjukkan dengan sulit berbagi sesuatu yang miliknya kepada temannya dan acuh terhadap temannya. Rendahnya perilaku altruisme akan menyebabkan anak berperilaku agresif dan menentang. Perilaku altrusime sangat berguna dalam hubungan sosial anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan perilaku altruisme siswa kelas 1 SD. Karakteristik anak-anak usia kelas 1 SD adalah senang bermain dalam kelompok sehingga konseling kelompok dengan media clay dapat memberikan kesempatan bagi anak untuk saling berinteraksi dengan temannya melalui permainan clay. Interaksi yang terjadi dalam kelompok memungkinkan anak belajar perilaku membantu, berbagi mainan, bergiliran dalam bermain, dan bekerjasama dengan temannya. Kondisi ini dapat berdampak pada peningkatan perilaku altruisme. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan quasi experimental design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket perilaku altrusime dan jurnal observasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 1 SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t-test untuk membandingkan skor rata-rata gain perilaku altrusime siswa kelas 1 SD Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah mendapatkan perlakuan (posttest). Program konseling kelompok dengan menggunakan media clay efektif untuk meningkatkan perilaku altruisme siswa kelas 1 SD. Kata Kunci : Konseling Kelompok, Media Clay, Perilaku Altruisme Siswa SD. The Phenomenon of low altruistic behavior among children is observable in their difficulty to share what they have with their friends and to care about their friends. The low altruistic behavior will cause children to be aggressive and disobedient. The altruistic behavior is very useful for children’s social interaction. The aims of this research is to improve altruistic behavior of first graders. First graders have a characteristic of loving to play in group, so that groups counseling using clay media can provide opportunities for students to interact with each other. The interaction resulted in the group enables students to learn about helping each other, sharing games, taking turns in playing, and cooperating with friends. What the students learn during the group counseling can have an impact on the improvement of altruistic behavior. The experimental research conducted used quasi-experimental design. The techniques of data collection employed were questionnaires on altruistic behavior and observation journals. The sample of this research consisted of the first graders of UPI Bandung Primary Lab School, taken with purposive sampling technique. Meanwhile, the technique for data analysis was t-test, used to compare the average gain of student’s altruistic behavior before (pre-test) and after treatment (post-test). Group counseling program using clay medium was effective in improving first grader’s altruistic behavior. Keywords: Group Counseling, Clay Media, Primary School Student’s Altruistic Behavior.
