Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan ide penciptaan tari, struktur koreografi, rias dan busana tari Candra Kirana karya Baedah di Sanggar Purbasari Kota Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Analisis dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Sumber data meliputi ide penciptaan, struktur koreografi, foto, audio, dan video tari Candra Kirana karya Baedah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tari Candra Kirana karya Baedah merupakan tari kreasi baru yang terinspirasi dari ceritera Panji yang menggambarkan Galuh Candrakirana yang menyamar menjadi seorang ksatria dalam mencari kekasihnya Raden Panji atau Inu Kertapati. Penggambaran karakter Candrakirana dipertegas dengan penggunaan topeng atau kedok. Struktur koreografi dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu dodoan dan unggah tengah, pada bagian dodoan didominasi oleh gerak-gerak berkesinambungan tanpa tekanan (sustained movement) dan pada bagian unggah tengah didominasi oleh gerak-gerak penuh tekanan (percussive movement) hal ini memberikan kesan karakter gagah dan berani. Secara ikonografis, bentuk kedok Candra Kirana menggambarkan seorang wanita yang gagah dan pemberani. Rias dan busana sangat mendukung dan mempertegas karakter tokoh. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tari Candra Kirana merupakan tari kreasi baru yang tak lepas dari unsur-unsur tari topeng Cirebon. Kata Kunci : Tari Candra Kirana Karya Baedah, Struktur Koreografi, Kedok Candra Kirana. ABSTRACK This research aims to describe the Candra Kirana dance by Baedah at the Sanggar Purbasari, Cirebon. This study uses a descriptive analysis research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. Analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Data sources include the idea of creation, choreography structure, photographs, audio, and video of Candra Kirana's dance by Baedah. Based on the analysis of the Kirana dance by Baedah dance is a new dance creation inspired by the Panji story depicting Galuh Candrakirana disguised as a knight in search of his lover Raden Panji. The portrayal of Candrakirana's character is emphasized by the use of masks or masks. The choreography structure consists of two parts, namely dodoan and middle upload, in the dodoan section dominated by sustained movements and sustained movement in the middle part, dominated by pressure movements (percussive movement) this gives the impression of a dashing and brave character . Iconographically, the guise of Candra Kirana depicts a brave and courageous woman. Makeup and clothing are very supportive and reinforce the character. Thus it can be concluded that the Candra Kirana dance is a new dance creation that cannot be separated from the elements of the Cirebon mask dance.
