Abstract

Financial Technology (fintech) telah mendominasi generasi millenial dengan menggunakan teknologi komunikasi instan atau media sosial, sehingga dimanfaatkan untuk menjangkau sistem keuangan digital. Oleh karena itu, internet menjadi salah satu faktor penunjang perkembangan fintech dan telah menarik minat mahasiswa karena segala sesuatu yang cenderung lebih praktis, lebih cepat, efisien, dan fleksibel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur penggunaan financial technology (fintech) di kalangan mahasiswa, khususnya pada mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dengan menguji teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket/kuesioner yang disebarkan secara online melalui google-form kepada mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Kampus Bumi Siliwangi angkatan 2016-2019 sebanyak 393 mahasiswa yang menjadi sampel dari populasi 21.830 mahasiswa. Seluruh pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2013 dan software SmartPLS versi 3.2. Hasil penelitian menggunakan metode bootstrapping dengan software SmartPLS 3.2 menunjukkan bahwa variabel kepercayaan (trust), persepsi kebermanfaatan (perceived usefulness), persepsi kemudahaan penggunaan (perceived ease of use) berpengaruh positif terhadap sikap terhadap penggunaan (attitude toward using) pada financial technology dan sikap terhadap penggunaan (attitude toward using) berpengaruh positif terhadap penggunaan secara aktual (actual usage) pada financial technology, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh hipotesis didukung atau diterima. Financial Technology (fintech) has dominated millennial generation's life in every aspect through instant communication technology such as social media. Unexceptionally, the digital financial system. Therefore, internet is one of the support factors for the development of fintech and has attracted students' interest since everything tends to be more practical, efficient, flexible, and faster. This study aims to measure the use of fintech among students of Indonesian University of Education (UPI). The method used were descriptive and quantitative approach. It was conducted by testing out the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) theory. The data questionnaires were distributed via google form to the students of UPI Kampus Bumi Siliwangi class of 2016-2019, with a total sample of 393 students out of 21,830 population. All data processing in this study used Microsoft Excel 2013 and SmartPLS version 3.2 software with bootstrapping method. The results show that variable of trust, perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use, have positive impact on attitude toward using in the relation with fintech. Meanwhile, attitude toward using has postive impact on actual usage in the relation with fintech. Thus concluded that all of the hypotheses are accepted.
