Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena konflik interpersonal pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas yang sedang melalui tahap perkembangan dan pembentukan konsep diri. Anggapan konflik sebagai sesuatu yang negatif ditambah fase transisi pada siswa yang seringkali memunculkan perilaku tidak stabil, memperkuat stigma bahwa konflik interpersonal pada siswa sulit diselesaikan secara konstruktif. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya konsep diri sebagai aspek kunci dalam mengatasi konflik interpersonal, sehingga penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh konsep diri terhadap kemampuan resolusi konflik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian korelasional bivariat. Melalui teknik probability sampling, sebanyak 90 siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Cimahi tahun ajaran 2019/2020 berpartisipasi sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket langsung tertutup. Adapun statistik inferensial dan analisis regresi linier sederhana digunakan untuk mengolah dan menganalisis data penelitian. Hasil temuan menunjukkan: (1) Siswa memiliki konsep diri positif yang ditunjukkan dengan penerimaan dan penilaian diri siswa secara positif serta adanya optimisme dalam diri mereka untuk sukses; (2) Siswa memiliki kemampuan resolusi konflik yang baik ditunjukkan dengan kemampuan mereka memposisikan diri dalam konflik, berpikir kritis dan kreatif untuk menyelesaikan masalah, serta kemampuan mereka berkomunikasi dengan baik; (3) Konsep diri berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan resolusi konflik dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 31,58% dan 68,42% sisanya merupakan variabel-variabel penentu kemampuan resolusi konflik yang tidak diteliti. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada siswa, guru, sekolah, dan Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi untuk menambah referensi pada kajian pendidikan resolusi konflik. ABSTRACT This study departs from the phenomenon of interpersonal conflict in high school students who are going through a stage of development and formation of self-concept. The presumption of conflict as something negative and a transitional phase in students which often leads to unstable behavior, reinforces the stigma that interpersonal conflict in students is difficult to resolve constructively. This study emphasizes the importance of self-concept as a key aspect in overcoming interpersonal conflict, so this research was conducted to examine the effect of self-concept to the ability of conflict resolution. This research uses a quantitative approach with a bivariate correlational research design. Through probability sampling techniques, 90 students in SMA 2 Cimahi 2019/2020 school year participated as research subjects. Data research was collected directly by closed questionnaire. Data analysis of research using inferential statistics and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed: (1) Students has a positive self-concept which is shown by the positive acceptance, positive self-assessment of students, and their optimism for success; (2) Students has a good conflict resolution ability shown by their ability to position themselves in conflict, think critically and creatively to solve problems, and their ability to communicate well; (3) The self-concept influences the ability of conflict resolution with a coefficient of determination of 31.58% and the remaining 68.42% are the determinant variables of conflict resolution ability that are not examined. This research has implications for students, teachers, schools, and the Sociology Education Study Program to add references to conflict resolution education studies.
