Abstract

Masyarakat Adat Cireundeu memiliki jatidiri Sunda sebagai perwujudan dari penggunaan nilai kearifan lokalnya, tetapi dewasa ini perubahan zaman memberikan dampak negatif terhadap karakteristik generasi muda. Kekhawatiran peneliti mengenai adanya pergeseran kebudayaan sebagai dampak dari perubahan zaman terhadap jatidri generasi muda Masyarakat Adat Cireundeu. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk menggambarkan penelitian tersebut. Masyarakat Adat Cireundeu melakukan pendidikan karakter dengan mengenkulturasi nilai kearifan lokal pada generasi muda. Nilai kearifan lokal sebagai pendidikan karakter ini terdiri dari welas asih (cinta kasih/ kasih sayang), undak usuk (tatanan dalam kekeluargaan), tata krama (tata perilaku), budi bahasa dan budaya, wiwaha yudha naradha (sifat dasar manusia yang selalu memerangi segala sesuatu sebelum melakukannya) serta terdapat nilai kosmologis Masyarakat Adat Cireundeu. Proses pembinaan karakter Masyarakat Adat Cireundeu melalui enkulturasi nilai kearifan lokal dengan melakukan pembagian peran dan fungsi di dalam masyarakat sesuai dengan Teori Struktural Fusional Talcott Parsons. Proses pembinaan karakter ini mendapatkan hambatan yang bersumber dari adanya perubahan zaman, tetapi masyarakat mampu mengatasi serta terus berupaya dalam melestarikan kebudayaan dengan enkulturasi nilai kearifan lokal. Cireundeu Indigenous people have Sundanese identity as an embodiment of the use of the value of their local wisdom, but today the changing times have a negative impact on the characteristics of the younger generation. Researchers are concerned about the cultural shift as a result of the changing times of the young generation of the Cireundeu Indigenous Peoples. Researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods to describe the research. The Cireundeu Indigenous people conduct character education by acculturating the value of local wisdom in the younger generation. The value of local wisdom as character education consists of compassion (love / affection), steps usuk (order in the family), manners (behavior), language and culture, wiwaha yudha naradha (human nature that always combats all things something before doing it) and there is the cosmological value of the Cireundeu Indigenous Peoples. The process of fostering the character of the Cireundeu Indigenous Peoples through the enculturation of the value of local wisdom by dividing the roles and functions within the community in accordance with Talcott Parsons' Fusional Structural Theory. The process of fostering this character has obstacles that stem from the changing times, but the community is able to overcome and continue to strive in preserving culture with the enculturation of local wisdom values.
