Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini berdasarkan studi pendahuluan penulis yang dilaksanakan di SMKN 6 Bandung mengenai pembelajaran Konstruksi Bangunan. Dari hasil wawancara terhadap guru mata pelajaran konstruksi bangunan di sekolah tersebut diperoleh informasi bahwa banyak siswa yang masih kurang dalam memahami ilmu Konstruksi Bangunan. Di sisi lain dilakukan survey lapangan kepada siswa kelas X di jurusan DPIB yang menyatakan bahwa pada mata pelajaran konstruksi bangunan dirasa sulit, dimana sumber belajar yang digunakan hanya berupa gambar statis yang ditampilkan guru pada saat pembelajaran dengan berbantuan powerpoint, dirasa kurang menarik minat belajar siswa. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka peneliti membuat inovasi sumber belajar lain yaitu dengan mengembangkan game edukasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D (Research and Development). Dalam penelitian ini, pengembangan game edukasi menggunakan program Ren’Py sebagai software utama pembuatannya. Dalam tahap pengembangannya, pembuatan game edukasi Ren’Py telah melalui tiga proses pengembangan yang ditelaah oleh ahli hingga layak digunakan, lalu diuji cobakan terhadap siswa kelas X DPIB 4. Data nilai siswa diperoleh dari hasil penilaian tes pada game mengenai materi sambungan kayu. Data tanggapan siswa terhadap game edukasi Ren’Py diperoleh dari kuesioner. Hasil analisis perolehan nilai seluruh siswa sebanyak 33 orang menunjukkan bahwa 24 orang siswa memenuhi KKM. Hasil analisis Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan game edukasi Ren’Py pada pembelajaran Konstruksi Bangunan memperoleh hasil yang positif. Persentase yang diperoleh berada dalam kategori “sangat baik”. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi sambungan kayu di SMK. ;---The background of this research is based on the author's preliminary study conducted at SMKN 6 Bandung regarding learning of Konstruksi Bangunan. From the results of interviews with teachers in Konstruksi Bangunan subjects at the school, information was obtained that many students were still lacking in understanding the knowledge of Konstruksi Bangunan. On the other hand a field survey was conducted on class X students in the DPIB department stating that in Konstruksi Bangunan subjects it was difficult, where the learning resources used were only static images that were displayed by the teacher during learning with the help of powerpoints, which were less attractive to students. To overcome this problem, the researcher innovated another learning resource, namely by developing educational games. This research is R & D (Research and Development). In this study, the development of an educational game uses the Ren’Py program as the main software for making it. In the development stage, the creation of the Ren'Py educational game has gone through three development processes that are examined by experts to be used, then tested against students of class X DPIB 4. Student value data obtained from the test results in the game regarding sambungan kayu subject matter. Data on student responses to the Ren’Py educational game were obtained from the questionnaire. The results of the analysis of the value acquisition of all 33 students showed that 24 students met the KKM. Results of analysis Students responses to learning using the Ren’Py educational game in learning Konstruksi Bangunan have positive results. The percentage obtained is in the category of "very good". Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the media developed are suitable to be used as learning media in the subject matter of sambungan kayu in SMK.
