Abstract
Urgensi penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru PAI SMA di Kementerian Agama Provinsi Jawa Barat. Sehingga hasil penelitian ini menjadi bahan evaluasi dalam melaksanakan program pengembangan untuk guru PAI. Keunggulan dari penelitian ini adalah membahas secara keseluruhan proses pengembangan mulai dari analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi dan tindak lanjut kegiatan. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Adapun pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan triangulasi data. Selanjutnya peneliti menganalisis data yang didapat dengan mereduksi data sesuai dengan fokus penelitian, display data sesuai dengan masalah-masalah yang diteliti, dan memverifikasi atau menarik kesimpulan yang dilakukan dari awal hingga akhir penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pada proses analisis kebutuhan, peneliti menemukan bahwa kemampuan guru PAI masih rendah dalam aspek karya inovatif dan terutama pada aspek publikasi ilmiah. Pada proses perencanaan pengembangan, dilaksanakan dengan baik berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan dan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Kemudian pelaksanaan kegiatan pun berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan yang direncanakan, dan berdasar pada kebutuhan guru. Selanjutnya, pada evaluasi dan tindak lanjut kegiatan pengembangan, peneliti menemukan bahwa evaluasi yang dilaksanakan terbatas pada proses dan hasilnya saja tanpa ada tindak lanjut lebih dalam lagi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa pengembangan kompetensi profesional guru PAI SMA di Kementerian Agama Provinsi Jawa Barat sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik, namun memerlukan tindak lanjut yang lebih dalam lagi. Hal ini perlu dilakukan penelitian mendalam oleh peneliti ahli dan memerlukan waktu yang relatif lebih lama.;--The urgency of this research is to get an overview pertaining to the development of professional competence of Islamic education teachers at high school in the Ministry of Religion West Java, so it can be an evaluation material in implementing development programs for Islamic Education teachers. The advantages of this research is to discuss the whole development process ranging from needs analysis, planning, implementation, until evaluation and follow-up. Researcher uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. As for data collection, researcher using interviews, documentation studies, and data triangulation. Furthermore, the researcher analys the data by reducing and adjusting the data to the focus of the research, display data in accordance with the problems studied, and verification or draw conclusions made from the beginning to the end of the study. Based on the results of the research of the process of needs analysis, researcher found that the ability of Islamic Education teachers was still low in aspects of innovative work, and especially on scientific publications. the development planning process, based on the results of need analysis and predefined criteria was going well. After that the implementation of the activities went well according to the plan, and based on the teacher needs. Furthermore, in the evaluation and follow-up of development activities, the researcher found that the evaluation provided limited to the process and results without further follow-up. Based on the results of these studies, the researcher concluded that the development of professional competence of Islamic Education teachers on high school in the Ministry of Religion West Java has been implemented well, but needed more follow-up. This needs to be carried out in-depth research by expert researchers and takes a longer time.
